Kyocera Laser Error Message Check Waste Bottle

before this happened, and I found a text string to send to the printer port that reset the counter. But I've lost the kyocera fs-c5350dn check waste toner box string! Does anyone know how to reset it?Thanks. Respond to this 0 kyocera fs 2020d check waste toner box When the waste bottle is replaced, the printer looks for a signal reflected from the silver window (near base of check waste toner box kyocera fs 4020dn bottle) indicating that the new bottle has been inserted. If this reflected signal is not recieved the printer is led to believe that the bottle was not replaced. If a new bottle

is inserted and removed prior to 100 pages being printed the toner residue in the bottle can become disturbed and cover the silver window turning it black and thus no reflected signal and a repeat of the error message.Using the string you refer to will reset all print counters, and is not really the answer. The part number is TB-1 for the bottle. waste toner box full kyocera fs-1128mfp Alternatively if your bottle is not full, cover the window area (or the sensor, easily seen when the bottle is removed) with silver foil and leave in place for at least 100 pages, thus fooling the sensor. by unknown on Mar 20, 2002 at 6:40am Add comment Please sign in to comment I tried this on my Kyocera FS-1200 by cleaning the silver plate behind where the top "flap" rests when the waste toner bottle is in place. I used alcohol on one end of a Q-tip, then dried it off with the other end. I replaced the emptied out waste toner bottle, but I still get the same "replace waste toner bottle" message. Any other ideas? - Anonymous 0 Take it out and empty it thats what i would do dont get a new bottle simply empty it.its a little messy but its worth it.Stuart. by Stuart on May 4, 2002 at 9:12am Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment Unknown Printer Buy discount ink Buy this printer © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc. So I got a FS-1800 which printed very dirty pages, with vertical stripes. I found out that the channel inside the drum, that carries the waste toner away from the drum and into the waste toner bottle, was totally stuck with dirt. So, the whole drum was full of waste toner, and the waste toner was forced out on the drum, causing the stripes. I removed the drum roll from the drum holder, and then took the drum holder outside and cleaned it with compressed air. I assembled everything back together, but now when I switch on the printer, I get the Dutch message that is equivalent to "check waste toner bottle" on the display. Needless to say, the toner bottle is clean. I don't see any sensor of any kind. What exactly triggers this error? Also, once this problem would be fixed, do I need to select in the menu that I replaced the drum, as the whole drum is now empty of any (used) toner? (Right now I don't even get the chance to enter the menu.) Thanks in advance! Reply With Quote 09-17-2010 #2 LNorris View
