Use Shrew Soft. All the way up to windows 7 64-bit clients. Cisco doesn't offer and to my knowledge isn't planning a 64-bit client. http://shrew.net/ (Works with Cisco VPN - that is, I'm not suggesting that you replace the Cisco router) share|improve this answer edited Sep 2 '09 at 15:30 answered Sep 2 '09 at 3:44 Jason Kleban 366318 They are pushing the AnyConnect SSL Vpn client. Cisco 440 Driver Failure Windows 10
Cisco VPN software would have hit some problems while using VPN on their cisco vpn client for windows 10 newer Windows 8/8.1 machines. This is because the legacy Cisco VPN-client is not supported under Windows 8.1 and as the client cisco vpn client windows 10 download is EOL anounced, it probably will never be supported anymore. Yet, for some reasons, there are still users (like myself) who are not able to use the newer Cisco AnyConnect, as it might not be supported http://serverfault.com/questions/61418/how-to-resolve-a-driver-failure-error-in-the-cisco-vpn-client-connecting-from by their existing VPN infrastructure or some other reasons. Faced with similar issue, I searched for possible solutions online and tried different ways of overcoming the issues, which is often a hit and miss affair. ( This tutorial is becoming even more robust as more and more reported success and provided additional tips to improve the process, and I have enhanced the tutorial, to make it as foolproof as possible for you. Many http://www.gleescape.com/posts/2917 reported they can now work from home, or use a single machine to access VPN instead of two machines, or simply made their life much simpler! Thanks to the Gleescape.com community, this tutorial has become a better one.) Most users will face the first error, which says: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. Reason 440: Driver Failure. Rebooting the machine does not help, trying all other solution does not help. After some fumbling, painful, repetitive, trial and error, finally I found the way to do it right. You can do like-wise by following the steps below, to ensure that your Cisco VPN Client continues to work well after migrating to Windows 8/8.1 OS (Edit: Some users reported that it worked with Windows 10 Tech Preview, although I had not tried it myself). If you are lazy (or too busy) to find the software listed below in the instructions, you can download the all-in-1 package from here for your convenience (hosted locally): Download All-in-1 here (for Win8/8.1) or Win10 All-in-1 here. As the usual disclaimer goes, I will not be held responsible if anything goes wrong with your computer or hardware or software, or causes you to suffer any loss of any sorts, so do backup your data

I was just wondering if anyone else might be in the same boat. 0 Cayenne OP John Pohlman Oct 18, 2013 at 12:51 UTC We've seen the same thing, the update to 8.1 requires reinstallation of the client. But it's not surprising when you consider that it was written for Vista. 1 Serrano OP cmkleinholz Oct 18, 2013 at 12:54 UTC Yeah, I'm not surprised either, but I am leery about rolling it out to any other users unless the "powers that be" are willing to upgrade or we find another solution. 0 Pimiento OP Josh43 Oct 18, 2013 at 12:58 UTC 1st Post I had issues with 8.1, even after updating the wifi driver and reinstall vpn. It would "connect" but not let me access any servers, tried for days. I had to roll it back to factory 8.0 image, dell xps 12 flip er smthn like that. 0 Habanero OP NiKopka Oct 18, 2013 at 12:59 UTC Have you tried asking the user why in the world he/she upgraded just to get a Start button? haha 1 Pimiento OP Josh43 Oct 18, 2013 at 1:00 UTC No, they ran classic shell from day 1 anyway :) 0 Datil OP Duffney Oct 18,
