Windows Server > Network Infrastructure Servers Question 0 Sign in to vote I'm working with alaptop that is unable to authenticate when attempting to establish a wireless connection with EAP-TLS. Here are the "actors": windows 10 - Windows 2008 R2 with File (DFS), DHCP, DNS, domain controller, certificate authority, and NPS roles. - Cisco Aironet 1142 access point - Windows 7 SP1 laptop (domain member) * EAP version is EAP-TLS. * Computer has a workstation authentication type certificate provided by a local cert autority. The certificate is displayed as valid, 802.1x authentication failed as OK. Server has a certificate for all purposes. Authentication is 802.1x with WEP. It's a practice network (for the time being) and I'm using WEP (lowest level of encryption) for troubleshooting. At one point in troubleshooting, I disabled the requirement for server authentication - with no luck. * The devices talk to each other but that's about it. This is the sequence of messages in the WLAN-Config section of Event Viewer. ** It starts just fine: ** Event ID 8000 WLAN AutoConfig service started a connection to a wireless network.
