I have spoken to Microsoft and after a few days of getting no-wear the last thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_1r0ZtXhhE that they told me to do was to disable the RAC task in scheduled tasks. I did this and also uninstalled all my programs and uninstalled my ATI drivers and catalyst controller. Then I installed the ATI catalyst control and drivers from an earlier date (9-7_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu). I no longer get the atikmdag error and yet https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/ce2281fb-1755-4613-8571-eacad709c557/kernel-power-event-41-error-possible-solution-in-windows-7?forum=w7itproperf to get the random reboot associated with the kernel power error, it has now been 5 days trouble free (cross my fingers). I know how annoying this problem is and i believe that it is not a hardware problem like some people may think. I do believe that it is a Microsoft problem that may be resolved in later patches,SP. I think that Microsoft has done something in the RTM that some motherboards are not agreeing with therefor causing this kernel power error. I hope this helps some of you. Halo DiehardsOct 29, 2015, 2:42 PM I have no idea why this is http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2843730/troubleshooting-kernel-power-error-start.html happening. It's on a fairly new build. Everything has been running fine for months. Then a couple weeks ago I started noticing my computer making me log in when I hopped on. It wasn't until a couple days ago I checked my preferences and saw it's only supposed to do that when I boot Windows, and realized it was restarting.I can't restore for reasons I won't get into (will remedy that now for future issues). What I'm hoping windows 10 for are tests I can run to try and track down the issue. I've looked in my Event Viewer, and other errors don't seem to coincide, but I'm not really familiar with making my way around it. I'm running SiSoftware on it now to see if anything comes up on that. In searches I've read everything from the power supply to the hard drive to bad drivers can cause it. I'd like to have a place to start power windows 10 and just work down a list of tests and things to try.The OS is Windows 7 Professional Reply to Halo Diehards 12 answers Last reply Jul 1, 2016 Best Answer Jul 1, 2016 More about troubleshooting kernel power error start hang-the-9Oct 30, 2015, 8:36 AM You already did the research to work on it, power supply, drivers, not likely the hard drive though. Need more details about exactly what is happening, you said the system was restarting, when is it restarting? During gaming? Randomly? Need full system specs also, motherboard, CPU, RAM, power supply brand and model, when did the issue start, did anything change before it started rebooting? Usually the restarts seemed totally random. Occasionally it would happen when I touched the mouse, or even a few seconds later, after I had opened a browser and went to a website (always Hulu, though, no other sites, but before I would try to play a video) Quite oft
