Ive gone into the configs and chagned the 4 numbers for .NET Framework to 4.0 and now the launcher works. But than after a minute or 2 it crashes to desktop. I saw online a person said make another user account on the PC and I did that and it does the same thing. WTF IS UP WITH 8.1!! and why the ♥♥♥♥ did Turbine make the game require you to have .NET Framework 1.1 which came out how many years ago? I bought this PC back in February/ March of this year. I ran the game on Steam than just fine and I got the dlc off Humble Bundle and apparently everyone says its 8.1 because there are 2 new us
not currently any scheduled downtime, or if there are any reported outages. If there are no known issues occurring, close yourgame launcher and end the TurbineLauncher process in yourTask Manager. http://support.turbine.com/link/portal/24001/24047/Article/4370/-An-update-error-occurred-Unable-to-decrypt-or-de-serialize-the-data-downloaded-from-the-server Next, browse to your game install folder, which defaults to DDO C:\Program Files\Turbine\DDO Unlimited Program Files(x86) on 64bit Windows LOTRO C:\Program Files\Turbine\The Lord of the Rings Online Program Files(x86) on 64bit Windows Find and delete these 4 folders: Patches Forward Bindat Raw Once the folders are deleted, restart your pc and relaunch the game. If the error message persists, please read the following. Section One: Is your windows 10 day/month/year time or time zone incorrect? One of the more common and often overlooked reasons for receiving this erroris that the game launcher fails a check of the downloaded update files because the date/time check for the patch files is mismatched. Before going further, make sure that your system's day, month, year, time and even time zone (also "Daylight Savings Time") are all correct for your location, and lotro net framework adjust them if needed. You may want to also reboot the computer after you have done so to ensure the changes are fully applied and then perform one last 'just in case' check on them before launching the game after the reboot. You can adjust your Windows time & date settings by double-clicking the Windows 'clock' in the bottom-right corner of the desktop. Section Two: A Special Note for LOTRO Players. Running the older "Datdefrag Tool" can cause this error message! It is strongly recommended that you do not run this tool on your game installation as it can specifically break the game install. Some additional troubleshooting steps specifically for LOTRO players who receive this error: Close the launcher if it is currently open and try these steps: Click on the Windows "Start" button and choose "Computer" from the list In there, double-click on your C: drive (may display as "Local Disk C") Double-click on "Program Files" (note: if you see "Program Files (x86)" double-click on that one instead) In that folder, double-click on the "Turbine" folder and then the "The Lord of the Rings Online" folder In that folder, look for "client_highres.datx" and/or ""client_highres_aux_1.datx". If found, right-click them
