Report • #2 Gretti March 25, 2013 at 05:23:09 ✔ Best AnswerMagicDisc does mount ISOs. I http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-7/magicdisc-fail-to-mount-cddvd/14979.html use it all the time. Sometimes when you already have an image mounted you need to unmount all images then mount the ISO. Also MagicDisc installs a unsigned driver that may have been blocked by either windows or your anti-virus. I would fist disable your AV then try to mount an ISO, if that doesn't work, uninstall the program and re-install. Accept any prompts that alerts you to install unsigned drivers being installed. Just bought it, http://www.fixya.com/support/t11219484-masicdisk_39_t_open_driver_mcdbus never really used 8.1 before. The error message I'm getting is: "MagicDisc can't open driver(mcbus), please make sure that MagicDisc is run as administrator. You need to right-click MagicDisc.exe on Windows Explorer, and windows 10 click "Run As Administrator" to run." Even when I run the program with admin privileges. I have an iso image I need to run. If magicdisc can't run on 8.1, then I could someone recommend a good program to run disc images with? mattig89ch, Aug 25, 2014 #1 dvk01 Derek Moderator Malware Specialist Joined: Dec 14, 2002 Messages: 50,232 W8/W8.1 has disc image tools & disc windows 8 mounting inbuilt so you don''t need 3rd party tools http://windows.about.com/od/windowsforbeginners/a/How-To-Mount-Or-Burn-Iso-Files-In-Windows-8.htm dvk01, Aug 25, 2014 #2 mattig89ch Thread Starter Joined: Dec 31, 1969 Messages: 384 Sorry for the late reply. Contributor 3 Answers Re: MASICDISK CAN'T OPEN DRIVER(MCDBUS) You are getting this error because either you still have Microsoft Defender enabled or your antivirus program is stopping the install of the unsigned driver in 64bit windows. Turn off automatic scan for Windows Defender and disable all options under the 'options'. Uninstall MagicDisc. Now reinstall as administrator. What comes up is a RED box that warns about installing the driver for the virtual disc. If you get this, and click ok, your install will succeed. If you never see this then maybe you did not fully turn off windows defender or your antivirus realtime protection, whatever that is. Good Luc
