Access is denied up vote 0 down vote favorite I'm trying to run visual studio 2015 create app package Create App Packages in Visual Studio 2013 for my Windows 8.1 Store app. After validating my license and selecting the app name it fails with the following: Bundle creation failed. 0x80070005 - Access is denied. The file its referring in the Error List is MakeAppx. Sounds like a simple access restriction but I have no idea where the restriction is and I'm running as administrator anyway. Any help? Thanks. windows-store-apps visual-studio-2013 share|improve this

Unanswered Package Creation Failed Error Ruchi.1451 RuchiUSMember ✭ June 2014 in windows 10 sdk Android Hi, When I run my app(android) on emulator or any device, I'm getting "Package Creation Failed" error. /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/Android/Xamarin.Android.Common.targets: Error: Error executing tool '/Users/mac-mini-2/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-macosx//tools/zipalign': ApplicationName='/Users/mac-mini-2/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-macosx//tools/zipalign', CommandLine='4 "bin/Debug/Sync.Android-Signed-Unaligned.apk" "bin/Debug/Sync.Android-Signed.apk" ', CurrentDirectory='/Users/mac-mini-2/Projects/sync/Android', Native error= http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20353713/create-app-package-bundle-creation-failed-access-is-denied Cannot find the specified file (Sync.Android) Please help me out. 1 Posts amiller Allie Miller USForum Administrator, Xamarin Team Xamurai June 2014 Hi @Ruchi.1451! It looks like you are running into a bug in the latest version of the software. The good news is that this issue has been fixed! In the meantime, the suggested workaround in the linked bug report should allow you https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/19489/package-creation-failed-error to continue working until the official fix is released. But please let us know if you continue to run into an issue after trying the workaround. 0 Ruchi.1451 Ruchi USMember ✭ July 2014 Hi @AllieMiller I'm on MAC system. I can't find Android-sdk directory on my system. 0 GarethWerren Gareth Werren GBMember ✭ July 2014 Hi @Ruchi.1451 I have just had the same problem as you did and found this thread. The Android-sdk directory can be inferred from your error message where the path to zipalign being complained about is: /Users/mac-mini-2/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-macosx//tools/zipalign From this we see that the Android-sdk directory must be: /Users/mac-mini-2/Library/Developer/Xamarin/android-sdk-macosx If you want to find this directory in the finder you will need to use the Go menu and hold down the alt key to see the Library entry, select that and navigate from there. If you do not see the build-tools/20.0.0 directory then it may be you do not have that version of the SDK installed, in that case go to Android SDK Manager (you can get to this from the Tools menu in Xamarin Studio) and install it. 0 NikolajHesselholtSkov Nikolaj Hesselholt Skov DKMember ✭ July 2014 Thanks
