DLL path name failed. Hi there forum. Not sure if I'm posting in the right spot, so please correct me if I'm wrong. I am constantly getting this Event ID: 2002 errors in my Application event logs. The General Description is as follows: Skipping: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/eaphost-error-2002/8f6e0a14-7db6-4cd3-9a46-03affa0e108d Eap method DLL path name validation failed. Error: typeId=18, authorId=8086, vendorId=0, ventdorType=0. I have looked around Google and other forums and most say that you can delete this key and it will stop the logging of the errors. I have done so, but I want to make sure there isn't a more appropriate fix for this? I haven't seen any negative effects from deleting the key. I see this on both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit systems I build. Thank you in advance for your help and support. http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/336450-event-id-2002-source-eaphost-eap-method-dll-path-name-failed.html My System Specs Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Motherboard ASUS Z87-DELUXE LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 A Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR Graphics Card SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5450 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Hard Drives 120 GB SSD Kingston KC300 Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive Antivirus N/A Browser IE11 Almagest View Public Profile Find More Posts by Almagest . 30 Jul 2014 #2 iancat Windows 7 Premium 32 bit 5 posts What key did you delete? It sounds to me like you just deleted the key that creates the log file, which wouldn't fix the issue. I wish I could tell you how to fix it cause I am search for the fix myself. What I can tell you is that the problem has to do with authentication to WPA2 networks. Some say they can't connect at all but for my user it takes far longer then normal to connect to our network.
