Ntoskrnl Missing Windows 10
06:01 PM I am trying to create a dual layer disk which has Windows 7 x86 and x64 AiO, Windows XP AiO, LiveXP, and some extra Utilities. My final ISO size https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/318729 is a little over 6GB. Everything seems to work fine except LiveXP. When I try to boot LiveXP I am getting an error... File \I386\system32\ntoskrnl.exe could not be loaded. The error code is 4 Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit. From my research I have come accross something that states: Setupldr.bin access first 4 gb only. Setupldr.bin can't load ntoskrnl.exe at http://reboot.pro/topic/16649-livexp-on-dual-layer-error-code-4/ e.g. Logical Block Adress LBA 2254276 Is there any way possible for me to change the LBA location so that the needed files can be read from within the first 4GB? Thanks! Siginet Back to top #2 cdob cdob Gold Member Expert 1284 posts Posted 03 April 2012 - 06:36 PM How do you build the 6GB ISO file currently? Define sort order at this application. Do you use flat files at DVD? Don't you use grub4dos and small ISO files for XP install? A similar approach is possible with a XP PE.
