Windows 7: Potential fix for Nvstor.sys, Nvstor32.sys errors. 03 Nov 2010 #1 Another420 Windows 7 1 posts Potential fix for Nvstor.sys, Nvstor32.sys errors. Good day all. I'd thought I would share my good news. I have had the dreaded "nvstor.sys", and http://www.solvusoft.com/en/files/bsod-blue-screen-error/sys/windows/microsoft/windows-8-pro/nvstor-sys/ "nvstor32.sys" problems for the last week. I have tried every trick I could Google for. I tried newer drivers, and older drivers. I could also reproduce the error (at will), so that it would show up in the "Event viewer". Not a thing would work. I am running Windows 7 (32 bit), Nforce 520 board. I installed this hot fix (Windows6.1-KB982018-x86.msu) "http://thehotfixshare.net/board/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=12386" which updates your "nvstor.sys" to version "10.6.0.18". That helped http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/122478-potential-fix-nvstor-sys-nvstor32-sys-errors.html but did not fix the problem. Instead of errors in "nvstor.sys", the errors started showing up in "nvstor32.sys". The fix: Make sure your sata boot drive is the on the first sata port on your board. My boot drive was on the second port. As soon as I put in on the first port, all my problems went away. I could not reproduce the error, or get an error in "event viewer". I'm not 100% that this will work for everybody, but it fixed my problem. I've been messing with this for over a week now. I'll post back if I start getting errors again, but I think this fixed it. Good luck to everybody that has this problem. It is a headache.
