My Audio is now making popping/static noise anytime a sound plays even startup sound.. I have scanned my computer with Trenmicro PC-Cillin 12 and AVG and no virus and have scanned for spyware no spyware. My slowdon is constant, before this problem windows used to boot real fast say 45 sec but now it takes real long to boot into windows 3 minutes. My CPU usage stays around 50% with 63 processes running, before it would hover around 1-7% with the same processes running. i'm out of ideas, Any help and feedback would be appreciated! In some instances faulty RAM can invoke such BSOD's as well, but it does sound like the error is a by-product of another deeper problem, as the PC is taking a long time to start up. Wind 8 seems to have this same issue which used to be found back in Win XP SP2 where sounds stopped playing after resuming from a sleep mode because of a race condition existed in the Portcls.sys driver.
