This http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/microsoft-public-windows-vista-print-fax-scan/431079-error-status-field-printer.html did not use to happen. It just started out of the clear blue and I have no idea how to fix it. If I use the regular printer cable I have no problem. I am using a Lenovo laptop connected to an HP Printer. I truly need help. I do a lot of printing. Thanks, Wanda... -- WandaLL Sponsored Links #2 (permalink) 07-21-2009 Cari \(MS-MVP\) Posts: n/a Re: Error in Status Field of Printer Cables have limitations as to length. Windows 7: Can't print: just says "Error - Printing" in queue Page 1 of 2 1 2 > 09 Feb 2011 #1 parrotx34 Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit 9 posts Can't print: just says "Error - Printing" in queue This is a new laptop, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and I have windows 10 installed drivers for both my HP Laserjet CP1215 and Canon MP150 (and re-installed quite a few times now too...). Whenever I try and print a document, from WordPad, Adobe Reader, Word, whatever, it just appears in the print queue with the Status as "Error - Printing". If I run the HP diagnostics utility, it can print test pages, no problem. So the USB connection and actual printer are fine. They also work fine with other PCs. I've windows 10 printer checked the print spooler is up and running in "Services". Exactly the same problem happens with both HP and Canon printers (both are USB). Anyone please help!
