There is an application running on 6 machines how to start tns listener in oracle 11g in windows simultaneously that accesses the Database on this Server. I get the below errors in my listener.log file. TNS-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error 32-bit Windows Error: 203: Unknown error and there is also these errors below captured from the application Error Executing: ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = ......... I initially thought it was due to limited number of processes and sessions. I have increased the number of Processes and Sessions, to 600 and 900 respectively. The max utilization only went up to 133 and 139 for processes and session respectively when the listener.log file started throwing this error. When the application are run on up to 3 machines it works fine without any errors and when the 4th machine is started it throws these errors. I do not know if this is some IO issue or Operating system or Oracle itself. Can you please shed some light on this? Does it have to do with shared server -enabling or setting it to higher limit or changing the dispatchers? Thanks oracle share|improve this question asked Jan 24 '1

Problem sounds like the tnsnames.ora has a problem in it ... HTH Gregg Reply With Quote 02-11-04,17:19 #3 ramdatts View Profile View Forum P
