I can't post a pic, but does anyone know how to fix this error? When I try to go into Computer Management, Services or Component Services, I get a pop-up box stating "Class not registered" w/an OK button; nothing else. I have tried System Restore points, but no go. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top ispalten Posts: 6259 This post has been reported. It could be that a DLL is not registered? If you open a RUN command or COMMAND WINDOW and enter SERVICES.MSC, does it work? If not, open a COMMAND PROMPT running AS ADMINISTRATOR and enter this : REGSVR32 C:\Windows\System32\filemgmt.dll Might fix it? Irv S. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Jhatn Posts: 4 This post has been reported. Received a message that REGSVR32 C:\Windows\System32\filemgmt.dll succeeded, but nothing changed; still get Class not registered error. I also made sure MMC.exe is in the correct folders (System32 & SysWOW64), did a SFC /scannow but it didn't do anything except change a few of my personal tweaks, tried regsvr32 mmcndmgr.dll w/o any luck, copied & registered a clean mmcndmgr.dll to the original folders & still a no go. Think I may have to do a full reinstall :( Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Topic Closed This topic has been closed to new replies.
