Posted by tentonine on 13 Jul 2002 9:36 If it is a problem with a driver, download all of the latest drivers from the Dell support site and install them. They should fix the problem. If not, tell me and I may have other suggestions. Like 0 Reply You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Posted by jme321 on 13 Aug 2002 18:01 I assumed it was a video Driver error so I installed the Intel 845 G/GL Integrated Video Driver twoards the end of July. When I was still having a problem I checked the Dell website again and there was a newer version dated 7/31/02 so I installed that one hoping that the problem would be fixed. But the blue screen of death still pops up a couple of times a day and when I restart it says that the problem is with ialmrnt5 Like 0 Reply You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. Posted by tentonine on 13 Aug 2002 18:23 Try other drivers and Windows updates. I also thought that it was a video driver problem, but it might be something else. Also try BIOS updates (although this ais a little risky - if you do it, use a floppy). You could go to the Intel Website and find the latest driver from them. hey.thx for that!!!!!!!!!!!!1now I know what I have to do but the problem is that I have a problem with downloading it form dell website:/ that fecking app doesnt want to open...do u have that driver on ur pc.....pleeeeeeeeeessse;( Top Back to ohaving a problem with my graphics adapter for a while now. What happens is that my computer freezes up for about 10 seconds, then resizes the monitor resolution to 640×480 and displays http://www.eddieoneverything.com/windows-xp/how-to-fix-the-ialmrnt5-display-driver-error.php everything in 4 colors. An error box then pops up with some nonsense about the ialmrnt5 driver malfunctioning, and I'm forced to reboot the PC to get back to my normal http://semiexternalized.top/dell-optiplex-gx260-error-ialmrnt5-display-driver-138166.html display resolution. The odd thing about this error is that it doesn't occur when I'm performing any graphics-intense functions - it usually happens when my PC is just sitting there, minding windows xp its P's and Q's, and I move the mouse to get the monitor to turn on. (hmm, maybe it's a power-save feature error?) Anyway, some research suggests that installing the latest Intel video drivers will fix the problem. (Update: Page is down. Here is a cached copy.) Download the drivers from here (Update: Site looks down. Here is a cached copy.) Install dell error ialmrnt5 and follow the instructions. I haven't had any problems since making the update -- I'll update if I do.
