Xbox 360 Controller Configuration
Media Center Extender to work Windows 7 IT Pro > xbox 360 wireless controller configuration Windows 7 Media Question 1 Sign in to vote I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64. xbox 360 controller pc configuration This is a retail copy. I had previously set up Windows Media Center and successfully set up my Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender. After https://support.xbox.com/en-US/browse/xbox-360/windows-media-center a long hiatus of using Windows Media Center, I went to watch a movie in my media library through my Xbox 360. It would appear to initially connect and then show the Windows Media Center loading screen and say "Contacting..." After about 30 seconds, it would display an error asking me to make https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/19b20d49-b59c-4515-9e7c-e819712135b0/cant-get-xbox-360-media-center-extender-to-work?forum=w7itpromedia sure my Windows Media Center PC is turned on (it is). I ran the Windows Media Center network test in the Xbox 360 and it tested fine. I attempted to delete the Media Center Extender in WMC and set it up again, but it always fails with an error "An error was encountered while configuring your computer for use with this Extender" at the part where it says "Configuring your Extender". I looked in the Event Viewer under the Media Center section and found event ID 543: Log Name: Media Center Source: Microsoft-Windows-Media Center Extender Date: 3/3/2010 10:13:20 PM Event ID: 543 Task Category: Configuration Level: Error Keywords: User: WILL7\swsander Computer: WILL7 Description: Media Center Extender Setup failed to create the PnP device with ID: uuid:10000000-0000-0000-0200-00125AC6E86F (timed out after 120000ms). Optic-Flare New MemberJoined:Aug 15, 2009Messages:12Likes Received:0 Good afternoon, I am currently using Windows 7 X64. My wife recently purchased me an Xbox 360 Elite for my birthday, but I am having some problems setting it up as a media extender. (to put it mildly) When I go into Windows Media configuration error xbox Centre I can immediately see the Xbox with an option to configure, so I jump through the hoops and enter the number from the Xbox into Windows media Centre. I then get the message: Configuration Error An error was encountered while configuring your computer for use with this extender I have followed the steps at (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932342) several times but removing the certificate and Restarting the Network List Service does not appear to work. I have tried everything again with the firewall and antivirus off but I still get the same message. If anyone can give me some help it would be appreciated. #1 Optic-Flare, Aug 15, 2009 Last edited: Aug 15, 2009 reghakr Excellent MemberJoined:Jan 26, 2009Messages:14,220Likes Received:180 try going to Start > Run, and type services.msc.
