Get yourself a copy of the error codes. Google search will point you in the right places. -----Original Message----- From: Luis Reyes [mailto:lreyesd [at] yahoo] Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2002 3:55 PM To: users [at] httpd Subject: 502 Proxy Error Hi http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/apache/users/359096 everyone, Can someone tellme what does it mean this error: 503 Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. fine (i.e. produces HTML output) when it is accessed directly (i.e. on the server where the code resides), but when I try to access it via my apache proxy server that's when I get the 502 proxy error. I'm using the following directives in my httpd.conf file (those are dummy IPs, of course): ProxyPass / http://123.456.789.1/ ProxyPassReverse / http://123.456.789.1/ The strange thing is that other pages generated by the same prgram in the cgi-bin (nhWeb) come up with no problem when accessed via the proxy...the page that's giving me the error is a form that require input before it is submitted. I'm pretty sure that it's not a coding issue because everything works fine and a page is generated when the program is accessed on the server where it resides. Any thoughts on what could be causing this and/or how to fix it? Is the program really working and producing HTML output? Check it from the command line... Rgds, Owen Boyle.
