I started off with a /windows/system32/config/system missing or corrupt problem. With help (you all are wonderful), I was able to get my computer to finally load. Everything was looking great then this pops up: My windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. app name: explorer.exe app ver: 6.0.2900.5512 mod name: msi.dll mod ver: 3.1.4001.5512 offset: 0001390e I press close and it just keeps pop'n up. I hope you'll be able to help me again. Thank You so much... Anna Reports: · Posted 3 years ago Top afuhnk Posts: 309 This post has been reported. Now that you are back up and running, open a command prompt as admin (right-click "command prompt" - run as administrator) and type this: sfc /scannow [then press enter] If it shows that it found errors and fixed them, good. If it shows that it found errors and could not fix them or could only fix some, reboot and do it again. You may also want to run a different command chkdsk /r [then press enter] it will tell you that the volume is locked and cannot perform the operation and ask you if you want to schedule it at the next reboot. Press 'Y' (for yes) and reboot. Reports: · Posted 3 years ago Top annatude Posts: 7 This post has been reported. Great thank you I'll try it..
