It is definitely installed and exists under "Programs http://stackoverflow.com/questions/656934/activex-component-cant-create-object and Features". Does anyone have a list of things that I can check to figure out what is going on? I have now tried to register the DLL using regsvr32.exe /i bob.dll as suggested but I get this error: The Module "Bob.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "Bob.dll" is valid DLL or OCX file and then try again. I should note that this is a 32-bit application on a 64-bit machine at this point. It also works fine on my machine which is Windows XP 32-bit. dll vbscript activex windows-server-2008 dllregistration share|improve this question edited Oct 19 '12 at 12:43 bluish 9,3491269126 asked Mar 18 '09 at 4:09 GordyII 2,439123662 A quickie... If it were me I would consider un-installing and re-installing software, and possibly look into using regsvr32 to register dlls, but maybe someone else will contribute. Mind you, as you are using obsolete VB6 software, it might take a bit of research [Edited: Perhaps I shouldn't use the term obsolete . Deprecated, unsupported.] This post has been edited by andrewsw: 09 May 2013 - 06:05 AM Was This Post Helpful? 0 Back to top MultiQuote Quote + Reply #5 kannan1986 New D.I.C Head Reputation: 0 Posts: 4 Joined: 22-March 10 Re: Runtime Error '429': ActiveX component can't create object Posted 09 May 2013 - 08:15 AM Hi, My System doesn't have "OracleInProcServer.XOrasession" in the
OracleInProcServer.XOraSession object or any other object you get error like: Microsoft JScript runtime error: Automation server can't create object or Microsoft VBScript runtime error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'OracleInProcServer.XOraSession' Your operating system is 64-bit Windows. Solution The problem is that Oracle Objects for OLE is not supported on 64-bit Windows operating systems. But this doesn't mean that you can't use OO4O on 64-bit Windows operating systems. To successfully run your scripts you have to use 32-bit Automation Servers, for example 32-bit Internet Explorer, 32-bit Microsoft Office products or 32-bit cscript.exe located in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 Reference: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/win.112/e17727/intro.htm#OOFOL118 Oracle Objects For OLE Not Installed With 64bit Oracle Client 11gR2 (Doc ID 1178672.1) FAQ: Running 32-bit and 64-bit Oracle Software On 64-bit Windows (Doc ID 1151394.1) Considerations Using The Oracle Client With Microsoft Products on 64 bit Windows Operating System (Doc ID 781432.1) http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/install.111/b32006/intro.htm#BABHDHHA Posted by Dmitriy Kovalenko at 3:37 PM Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest No comments: Post a Comment Newer Post Older Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) Search This Blog Loading...
