In the project we have developed with ASP.NET 4.0 we used WCF Service. But it doesn't run over domain when the software is running from local computer. Otherwise, I am getting the following error: HTTP Error 404.3-Not Found The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map. iis-7.5 mime-types share|improve this question edited Dec 15 '11 at 8:36 Tobbe 1,48121435 asked Jun 21 '11 at 12:46 Selo 74732250 Any suggestions? –Selo Jun 23 '11 at 14:01 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 94 down vote accepted You should install IIS sub components from Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off Internet Information Services has subsection World Wide Web Services / Application Development Features There you must check ASP.NET (.NET Extensibility, ISAPI Extensions, ISAPI Filters will be selected automatically). Double check that specific versions are checked. Under Windows Server 2012 R2, these options are split into 4 & 4.5. Run from cmd: %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -ir Finally check in IIS manager, that your application uses application pool with .NET framework version v4.0. Also, look at this answer. share|improve this answer edited May 27 '15 at 22:13 Liam Laverty 1107 answered Dec 13 '11 at 9:57 Mekanik 1,4271513 Cheers! ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ jaskisJuly 20, 20099 0 0 0 While working with classic ASP on my Vista IIS 7 box.I encountered two different problems: Firstly if you migrated your applications to IIS 7 or developing your new asp application and on browsing the asp page if you encountered error like 404.3 “ HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found Description: The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) map policy that is configured on the Web server. The page you requested has http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6425442/http-error-404-3-not-found-in-iis-7-5 a file name extension that is not recognized, and is not allowed. “ Upon checking Handler Mappings you won’t find mapping for *.asp to asp.dll. In that case you need to get ASP component installed from Windows feature –> IIS –> WWW services –> Application Development feature –> ASP (By Default ASP is not the installed on IIS 7 🙂 ) Secondly, I was having https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/jaskis/2009/07/20/iis7classic-asp-http-404-3-an-error-occurred-on-the-server-when-processing-the-url-please-contact-the-system-administrator/ pretty simple two asp page.In one page I was including second page as following: . Upon browsing it failed with error: “An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error.” For sure shot my application wasn’t throwing this custom error. Then who was in that case :(. As as security feature on IIS 7,sending script error details to client browser has been turned OFF. You can revert back to default behavior to check actual error by going into Features views -> ASP –> Debugging Properties –> Send Errors To Browsers : set it to True –> Apply After applying above setting actual error spit on the browser and ready to debug it further 🙂 Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0126' Include file not found /Taxi/index1.asp, line 10 The include file ‘/taxi/temp1.asp' was not found. except the name and that it is created by the same people who create IWeb. IWeb reaches 1000 IWeb By Michael Washington on 8/17/2008 5:45 AM Today IWeb reached 1000 members. This is not a big number because the DotNetNuke project can grow by asp.net error 404.3 1000 members in a single day. However, IWeb is just a small project that provides code to call web service methods inside DotNetNuke. It is not really designed for end-users. When a project with such a small user base reaches 1000 members it says a lot about the health and growth of the main DotNetNuke project. This milestone sticks out for me personally because IWeb started as a small idea. It has grown and taken a life of its own. Eventually it has grown bigger than me and taught me a lot about what Open Source is really about. Initially IWeb was just a code sample. Nearly two years ago, I needed to call a web service that was inside a DotNetNuke module. I found an article on wwwcoder.com. My example used the new (at the time) WSP dynamic compilation model so I decided to publish the code. After I published the code a l ... More... Most of the time when you install IIS is because you want to host an asp.net app!ReplyDeleteMishkaApril 11, 2011 at 8:47 AMThanks, it helped me.ReplyDeletePrakashApril 11, 2011 at 10:47 AMThanks, That was just perfect!ReplyDeleteMikeApril 18, 2011 at 6:41 AMMine is already checked so that is not my problem.
