I have narrowed it down to BITS not starting.. When I http://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/background-intelligent-transfer-service-will-not-start/ open services and try to start it manually, I get the error "Windows could not start the BITS service on LOCAL COMPUTER. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified" I have tried the Microsoft FixIt and the Fix Windows Update utility from TheWindowsClub.. From another post, I also noticed the folder at \users\all users\application data\microsoft\network\download is set to 'read only'.. I can uncheck that, but it stays as read only.. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/249523-bits-error-2-system-cannot-find-file-specified.html not.. Is this fixable?
