Example: https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=twitterapi This is working like a charm, everything works as excepted. Simply changing the URL to .../1.1/... and I get a Bad request error and even to JSON error response or even some content at all. https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=twitterapi Note: It couldn't be a rate limitation, because I accessed the URL the first time ever. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12544018/twitter-v1-1-400-bad-request twitter share|improve this question asked Sep 22 '12 at 13:04 Poru 2,804144882 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=twitterapi redirects me to https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?screen_name=twitterapi Looks like 1.1 is the same thing as 1 UPD: Looks like this is a rate limit (as 1.1 link worked for me 2 hours ago). Even if you hit API page for the first time, some of your apps (descktop or mobile) could use API methods. UPD2: in 1.1 400 Bad request means you are not autorized (https://dev.twitter.com/docs/error-codes-responses, https://dev.twitter.com/docs/auth/oauth#user-context). So you need to get user context share|improve this answer edited Sep 22 '12 at 13:34 answered Sep 22 '12 at 13:06 Daniil Ryzhkov 4,2931645 In no browser I use (Firefox, Chrome) I'll be redirected. It isn't the same like 1.1 - take a look over here: dev.twitter.com/blog/current-status-api-v1.1 –Poru Sep 22 '12 at 13:08 @Poru, Looks like a twitter API bug. Now I'm getting 400 Bad Request too. –Daniil Ryzhkov Sep 22 '12 at 13:14 @Poru, look at the updated answer –Daniil Ryzhkov Sep 22 '12 at 13:24 1 I think it was the missing user context + lib bugs. I switched my lib to Zend_Service_Twitter which works now. &n

Here’s a look at a trio of bad request issues you might have experienced when trying to share your 140-character thoughts with the world. Trouble updating profile images Last week, I decided to change my profile image in Twitter. Things did not go well. At first, the Twitter software refused to accept my new image. When I tried again later, Twitter claimed to replace my old image with the new one. error bad request However, when I checked, I found I now had no image at all! Eventually, after a few more tries, I was able to get things to work as expected. It turns out that am not the only one to have had this problem. Twitter is aware of the issue and is working on a fix (as confirmed in this note on trouble with updating your profile settings). From web? If you pay a visit to your Twitter account page at http://www.twitter.com/home, you’ll find a list of the messages you’ve recently sent and received. Following each entry is a line that indicates when and from where the message was posted. The “where” refers to what Twitter software was used to post the message. If a message was created from Twitter’s Web site, the “where” will simply be “from Web.” If the message instead came from a third-party Twitter client, it will be cited as the “where.” For example, if you used Twitterrific, the message will say “from Twitterrific.” That’s the way it’s supposed to work at any rate. Starting last week, all messages wer

I looked up and this discussion says that this can happen due to incorrect time settings.http://groups.google.com/group/twitter-development-talk/browse_thread/thread/aadee92bc5c34f29?pli=1 Time on the server is correct.
