I can get Sat 91 on all transponders with signal strength all above 80% https://bstarchoiceinstallersforum.runboard.com/t8970 and I can only get Sat 82 on transponder 15 and 16, the signal is above http://alt.dbs.canada.narkive.com/tlihIjFY/expressvu-problems 90 on both of those. When I change from an SD channel to an HD channel, it loses the signal, goes to Attention 015, searching for satellite signal, then goes to error 002, service is temporarily unavailable. I can then usually switch back to the SD channel. Sometimes it loses the 91 satellite as well and I need to do a reset again bell satellite before I can watch any SD channels. I had other issues before and both LNB's are replaced and the SW21 is replaced as well. When I do a check switch it comes up with everything connected. If I do a check switch when it has lost both satellites after I change to an HD channel, or look at Sat 82 in the signal strength screen, it comes up with fewer satellites than before, but if I reset and do it bell satellite error again, all is fine. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks. 12/30/2014, 5:45 am Share Link to this post Send Email to dmhuber Send PM to dmhuber Blog tooeasy Profile Live feed Blog Friends Miscellaneous info Registered user Global user Registered: 07-2005 Posts: 911 Karma: 10 (+10/-0) Reply|Quote Re: Bell Satellite Problem Bad tone board in the receiver or a rusted connection in your line. 12/30/2014, 8:33 am Share Link to this post Send Email to tooeasy Send PM to tooeasy lonnie Profile Live feed Blog Friends Miscellaneous info Registered user Global user Registered: 01-2005 Posts: 1750 Karma: 9 (+10/-1) Reply|Quote Re: Bell Satellite Problem Older receivers are not capable of decoding the type of hd signals on the 82 satellite. That's why you only see signal on transponders 15 and 16 on the 82 satellite, those 2 transponders are SD only. You may have to upgrade to a new receiver. 12/30/2014, 9:20 am Share Link to this post Send Email to lonnie Send PM to lonnie dmhuber Profile Live feed Blog Friends Miscellaneous info Registered user Global user Registered: 12-2014 Posts: 3 Karma: 0 (+0/-0) Reply|Quote Re: Bell Satellite Problem I have a 6400 receiver, was purchased 2 years ago and have had this working before. many members of thisgroup who helped me figure everything out back when I first gotstarted. So, first a bit of background...I have one receiver (2700), and a 24inch dish, and my signal strength is 91%. There are no problems withany of the coax connections, dish being dirty, or anything like that(I've checked them all.) But a few days ago I started getting thefollowing message on over 80% of the channels:ERROR 002Your satellite signal is temporarily unavailable. Please wait, orpress the Up or Down button to change channels:Channel: (number of whatever channel I was trying to watch)Satellite: 91Transponder: (varies depending on the channel I was trying to watch)There is a Help button at the bottom of the screen, but when I selectit, it brings up a message that says the satellite lock was lost, andto check my coax connections and cleanliness of the dish, or there mayhave been storms in the area. (Storms in southern California in thesummer? Not really a problem! :-) )When I go to the Point Dish menu on the Installation menu, it says thereceiver is locked on Bell ExpressVu 91, with the signal strengthbeing anywhere from 86% (if it's foggy) to 91% (if skies are clear). There are some channels that I can watch just like before (like BBCWorld), so I know it's not that I'm getting no signal. (6 months agoI did have a problem with one of the coax connections, but then thesignal strength was 0%...once I found the problem and fixed theconnector, it was back to 91% again. So I know this time it is adifferent problem.)I called BEV Customer Service on Tuesday, and the woman went throughall of the usual "check your coax connections" answers that I hadalready found on the Web. She had me read that entire Error 002screen to her, as well as the entire "Important System Information"screen. She said all of the information was correct, and my accountwas all up to date, and she didn't know what the problem was, so shewould have someone e-mail me back. I haven't yet h
