I have just assembled my computer and installed Fedora 13. After rebooting I get Error 25: Disk read error, Press any key to continue. When I do that the systems goes back to the GRUB window where I continue to press enter and it goes back to the error after a while. Please h

Have read the http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=81092 Grub manual and experimented for hours (in fact, days) but cannot get past the following when trying to boot from a CD created exactly as per the manual, using Grub 0.95: Booting command-list error 25: disk read error Press any key to continue Pressing a key takes me to the menu where I can see the entries I expect. Have checked the entries using the edit functions and they are correct. The Grub menu has the *splash image from the HD*. If I drop into a command line and type *exactly* the same commands the system will boot perfectly - into both FC4 and XP. In grub I can also read the HD with: 'cat (hd0,14)/boot/grub/grub.conf' and I get the correct result. From the above points it seems that there is no problem reading the HD. At the moment Grub is installed into the linux partition and I'm booting using NTLOADER and grub.bin - this works perfectly using the same grub.conf file. This is only a temporary stage so I need the boot CD to work so I can move on. This looks like a Grub bug to me although I c

Every time I restart I get the same message. Does anyone have any ideas about the steps I should take in an attempt to fix this problem.
