Maybe there isn't one. Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top GKI610 Posts: 567 This post has been reported. Yes, there are a few changes that will allow you to go there. Are you sure it's a "Trusted Site"? Is that your definition, or is it somewhere you want to go, and you're afraid 'big brother' won't let you in. Those settings are for your operating system's safety, and defeating them is likely to get you a full blown "Nasty Attack", ie, worms, trojans, viruses; because sites like those don't have 'certificates' and that's why the browser is keeping you out. Do you want to risk your machine? Post back an answer, please. Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top tamas Posts: 1 This post has been reported. The following worked for me: Go to Internet Op

I tried to install the certificate (as suggested here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931850) and it was confirmed that it was installed but it didn't help. I tried to add the web site https://testing/ to certificate error trusted sites but it didn't help. I tried to untick the "Warn about cerficate address mismatch" & "Enable smartscreen filter". The website in question is local site used for automation testing. I was able to get rid of this in IE8. Thank you for any help. If IE determines that the current time (from your client computer) does not fall into the server certificate time range, it will give this error. Please go to Internet Option -> Content -> Certificates -> Untrusted Publishers -> delete website in the list for a test. Niki Han TechNet Community Support

The last test in the SDLC is to install to production.... there you only need to install and test the certificate once. Check that https://testing/ is not already being mapped to the Intranet Zone... (File>Properties) as if it is adding it to your Trusted Sites list there are security zone settings that prevent navigation to zones of lower integrity. for testing purposes go Internet Options>Security tab, Intranet Sites Icon, Sites button, uncheck "Automatically detect Intranet network" (I think you may have to close all IE windows and restart it for the changes to take affect). forhere for a quick overview of the site Help Center Detailed answers to any questions you might have Meta Discuss the workings and policies of this site About Us Learn more about Stack Overflow the company Business Learn more about hiring developers or posting ads with us Super User Questions Tags Users Badges Unanswered Ask Question _ Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users.
