Join Now Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my Exchange. Let me https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/305864-exchange-certificate-name-mismatch tell you what I did and see if that gives you some insight on what I'm dong wrong. We were switching over from an Exchange 2003 to an Exchange 2010, two different boxes. I was the man to https://forums.iis.net/t/prev/1165808 do it although I have no previous experience with Exchange really. We wanted this new Exchange to be started from scratch rather being converted over. I setup a test domain called technoviking.net to create a working certificate error Exchange before I tried moving our Exchange's settings to the new server. Once it was working, I changed all of the settings that I could find to the new domain west-tech.net. Although I've checked everywhere that I know of to change the settings from technoviking.net to west-tech.net, I still get a certificate error saying the cert names do not match. This is an error that I got from the Best Practices Analyzer about the certificate: The mismatched address certificate subject alternative name (SAN) of SSL certificate for https://mail.technoviking.net/ews/exchange.asmx does not appear to match the host address. Host address: mail.technoviking.net. Current SAN: DNS Name=mail.west-tech.net, DNS Name=www.mail.west-tech.net, DNS Name=autodiscover.wtsc.local, DNS Name=autodiscover.west-tech.net, DNS Name=west-tech.net, DNS Name=wts11.wtsc.local.

I've installed the SSL cert (webmail.networke.net) into the server and into IIS7 (gee, wasn't that fun). When I access https://webmail.networke.net/owa, I get a 'mismatched address' error that the browser is looking for DCMXCAS. I've tried seeting the HTTP redirect to https://webmail.networke.net/owa and the SSL binding to SSL cert webmail.networke.net (rather than to use SSL cert 'Microsoft Exchange'). But then Outlook starts whining that it can't find DCMXCAS.... Short of telling the Network guys to just change the Exchange server name to 'webmail,' do you good folks have any wisdoms you might be able to offer? SSL Diagnostics is the recommended toolset for troubleshooting problems related to Secure Socket Layersor certificates. What do you mean by DCMXCAS? It seems the error message not returned by IIS, you may get more valuable suggestions at our Exchange forum. Thanks. Please mark the replies as answers if they help or unmark if not.
