By Gator1313 · 5 years ago I just started getting error message Microsoft Office Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because your certificate is invalid. I have been running this for 2 years and just starting getting this message last week. It will not let me send out emails. Try the following fix (no admin required):1. Open Internet Explorer. Go to Internet Options, Content Tab, Certificates Button. 2. Remove all the certificates listed in Personal.3. Open the certificate utility (ActiveClient or similar) and there should be an option listed similar to "Forget State for all Cards" essentially clearing a stored card dataset. 4. Log off. Log back in.5. Within the same certificate utility, make the certificates available to Windows again. This is a pretty common feature. You may be able to right click each certificate and the option will be given.6. Open Outlook. Outlook 2007 Autodiscover Certificate Error
and connect to the exchange server a certificate error pops up every time.. even outlook 2007 ignore certificate error after accepting and installing it. I checked the error and the certificate is expired. I ran the New-GenerateCertificate on the exchange 2007 outlook 2003 certificate error server and generated a certificate that expires 6/2010, but outlook is still popping up the same expired certificate. I deleted the mail account out of outlook and I checked my system for any certificates relating to exchange... when i created a new mail account and had it search for exchange, it immediately popped up with the certificate error.. and the same one.. it said it was generated by PLESK and it was valid 3/5/08 - 3/5/09. I forgot to mention in my previous post.. this all started after I followed these instructions on moving the exchange server to a new piece of hardware using the same name. Article Number: 46431Question: How do I install my Secure E-mail Certificate on Outlook 2007?Answer: After you have the certificate in personal, here is what you need to do to configure outlook: 1 – Open up Outlook 2007. 2 – Select Tools. 3 – Select Trust Center. 4 – Select E-mail Security. 5 - Click on the settings button. 6 – You need to defined security setting name.
