Is that your definition, or is it somewhere you want to go, and you're afraid 'big brother' won't let you in. Those settings are for your operating system's safety, and defeating them is likely to get you a full blown "Nasty Attack", ie, worms, trojans, viruses; because sites like those don't have 'certificates' and that's why the browser is keeping you out. Do you want to risk your machine? Post back an answer, please. Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top tamas Posts: 1 This post has been reported. The error there is a problem with this website’s security certificate can cause by the SSL certificate for the website was not issued by a rusted CA on client side. To work around this issue, you need to install the Issuer CA installed on the Trusted Root Certification Authority container. 1. In Windows Internet Explorer, click Continue to this website (not recommended) 2. Click the Certificate Error button to open the information window. 3. Click View Certificates, and then verify the Issuer CA. Ensure it was trusted on all clients. After talking to the IT folks disable certificate error for the campus they said if i open up firefox log in there it will accept the certificate and then i can go back to IE. Well its a pain in the arse to do this every single time and i was wondering if there was anyway to force IE to ignore this error for this page only. IE 8 just does the page cannot be displayed bit, IE9 beta informs me of the error and gives me an option to continue at my own risk but doesnt do anything when i click to ignore it. What do I need to do to get Internet Explorer 8 to accept them without showing an error message to the user? What we did for Internet Explorer 7 apparently isn't working. EDIT: Internet Explorer 7 wouldn't show any errors if I put the certificate into trusted root certification authorities. Internet Explorer 8 seems to show errors even with the certificate there. internet-explorer-8 ssl-certificate share|improve this question edited May 30 '11 at 18:15 Peter Mortensen 10.2k1369107 asked Mar 25 '09 at 13:55 Jay Just curious, what is it you did in IE7? –Brann Mar 25 '09 at 14:04 put it into the certificate into trusted root certification store –Jay Mar 25 '09 at 14:20 1 Do you have the screenshot for IE 8 error.?
