Repeat this procedure for all help.chm files you want to open. Again, this is an issue with Microsoft's security settings and is implemented to prevent the spread of malicious code. Note: These issues can also occur when opening the .chm file from a .zip file that has not been unzipped and saved on your computer. If your .chm file part of a zipped file or folder, unzip it before attempting to open the .chm file. Chm File No Unblock Button
I think this is a great program and am so grateful to those who worked on creating and sharing it. I updated how to open chm file in android to 2008.06c and updated the help files (english), and now I am getting "address is not valid" on ALL the links in the help file (which was working before). Since I only tried to access the http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B59D2B24D624B823862575FC0056F3D0 help file recently, I don't know if the error has anything to do with the updates. Paths Info says: Freecommander.ini C:\Program Files\FreeCommander\FreeCommander.ini Application Data: C:\Program Files\FreeCommander Do you have any suggestions of what I can try? I tried redoing the update for the program as well as the help file, but that didn't fix it. Thanks so much! It fixed my problem! My FC help file used to work before... Sounds like one of the internet explorer updates caused it to go. But HHReg fixed it. If others have this same help file problem, just download this utility, and add the help file by pointing to its location (C:\program files\freecommander\FreeCommander.chm). Thank you so much. This is due to IE enhanced security treating the downloaded file as potentially dangerous. A solution is to clear the "Always ask before opening this file" box in the security dialog that pops up when you try to open the downloaded CHM file.
