3, update server not available When you install Chrome online through a small setup file, GoogleUpdate process will be installed on your computer and this process periodically checks for updates for the browser and installs them whenever available. If this process stops running or moved to other location or removed from it’s location, then you’ll get update server not available errors when you check for Chrome about dialog. Yesterday, I got “update server not available (error: 3)” for Chrome Dev. channel, let us see how I solved it. Fix Chrome’s ‘Update failed (error: 7),.. Error code=0×00000000′ Fix to “Update server not available (error :7) “ Fixing Chrome’s Update Server not available errors 1. Verify the below path for presence of Googleupdate.exe, "C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe(or GoogleUpdateOnDemand.exe)" 2. If that process doesn't exists, then you've to uninstall and reinstall Chrome, which I've done to fix the problem. 3.
