an interesting error: The above comes up when trying to install Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0410 on Windows XP SP3 (so far). I didn't have this http://adriank.org/cisco-vpn-client-5-0-07-0410-error-1720-there-is-a-problem-with-this-windows-installer-package/ issue on Windows 7 SP1. Holmz April 25, 2013 at 4:29 AM Tried your fix.mst file but having trouble runnning it in command prompt with fix.mst placed in the extracted unzipped cisco folder on desktop. just went to command prompt and to that desktop directory and ran your START /WAIT MSIEXEC.EXE

One thing you can try is to open up a command prompt with Run as Administrator option. Then run your setup program using msiexec.exe. The syntax for running it would be. msiexec /i YourAppName.msi.
