I tried renaming it to .cer,p12 and pfx. But when opening them, I get invalid file message. Is C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\Certificates the "Cisco Store" cisco vpn where the certificates are stored?Any thoughts? With regardsKings Posts: 887 | From: India | Registered: Jun 2010 | IP: Logged KT315 Jr Member Member # 30272 posted October 20, 2011 02:07 PM Files without extensions are certificate serial numbers (short names) and some form of hashes (long ones, however that is not a plain hash value, it does not correspond to anything in ceritifcate). Cerificates themselves are cisco vpn client stored spread around in multiple files. Files starting with p likely hold private key related details, and files starting with c hold request related things. Files alternate after each change, the previous version gets a name with a letter incremented by one. The main ones are .fpt (likely keys), .cdx (something related to request), c*.fpt holds the CA requests - all of them sequentially. p*.fpt has 1536 byte records that are encrypted - and encryption key is not the cartificate password. If you want to play around, .fpt format is simple, dword meaning sequence number, dword meaning record lengt, and then actual data.
