I have looked up several forums about that and I unsinstalled both SYGATE and CISCO VPN then I installed CISCO VPN several times but without any success. At the moment, no firewall is activated on my computer neither Windows XP, neither SYGATE. The error is persistent : "SECURE VPN Reason 435 Firewall policy mismatch" the log file says : "the client did not match the firewall policy ... Cisco Systems integrated client should be enabled or installed on your computer" this problem leads to the following event: "TrueVector driver: Driver install or load failure: LoadNTDeviceDriver. Win32 error: Le fichier spécifié est introuvable." I can connect on the VPN server but the connection is then stopped by my computer due to "Delete Reason Code: 11 --> PEER_DELETE-IKE_DELETE_FIREWALL_MISMATCH." Does someone have an idea about that problem ? Thanks in advance for you help B.S bsantos, Jan 13, 2007 #1 Sponsor bsantos Thread Starter Joined: Jan 12, 2007 Messages: 5 I finally solve the problem after numberous trials. 1. unsinstall Cisco VPN 2. install a recent version of "zone alarm" and keep it not activated if you have another anti-virus 3. install a recent version of "cisco VPN client" after that every works, it seems that some .dll files have been modified during the installation of SYGATE and that Cisco VPN needs somes specific files from Zone alarm Cheers B.S bsantos, Jan 14, 2007 #2 bsantos Thread Starter Joined: Jan 12, 2007 Messages: 5 The installation of "zonealarm" can interfere with the network connections so this procedure is more adaptated. 1-unistall SYGATE and cisco VPN 2-install "ZONEALARM" recent version to create the dll files for CISCO VPN 3-create a temporary directory c:\vpntempo and save in this directory the files from C:\windows\system32 vsinit.dll vsdata.dll vspubapi.dll vsutil.dll vsutil_loc040.dll save also the file c:\windows\system32\zonelabs : dbghelp.dll 3-uninstall ZONEALARM 4-copy the files from c:\vpntempo vsinit.dll vsdata.dll vspubapi.dll vsutil.dll vsutil_loc040.dll to the directory c:\windows\system32 and copy file dbgh

Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement emom Thread Starter Joined: Nov 7, 2009 Messages: 5 I just installed Window 7 on my Lenovo T400 Laptop. I need to get VPN up and running in order to connect to work. I installed the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.04.0300, but can't seem to get it to connect. I am getting a 435 Firewall Policy Mismatch error. I've already scoured the internet and tried all the suggestions, including the one in https://forums.techguy.org/threads/cisco-vpn-reason-435-firewall-policy-mismatch.534809/ the link below on this site to install ZoneAlarm and copy over some files. But nothing seems to work. http://forums.techguy.org/windows-xp/534809-cisco-vpn-reason-435-firewall.html The one difference was that when I installed ZoneAlarm there was not a file by the name of vsutil_loc040.dll. I searched the internet and couldn't find it anywhere. I found all the other dlls mentioned in the post?? Could this one file be my issue? Others at work have gotten their VPN clients to work https://forums.techguy.org/threads/cisco-vpn-client-435-firewall-policy-mismatch.875274/ on Windows 7. The only difference I can see is the computer. They have Dells. One other person that I know who has a Lenovo also can't get it to work. Can the hardware itself really be the issue? Unfortunately I can't change much in the BIOS or upgrade it (I think) because our wonderful IT department has locked down many of the settings with a special admin password. My BIOS password only has limited capabilities. It's infuriating! Any help would be appreciated. I'd really like to get this up and going so I can ditch my old SLOW laptop. And I really don't want to have to go back to Windows XP (which I'm told is what I'll have to do on this particular Lenovo device - again by IT who wants to put a crappy corp load on it that I'm not very keen on). Thanks in advance for any help. Emom emom, Nov 7, 2009 #1 Sponsor zx10guy Trusted Advisor Joined: Mar 30, 2008 Messages: 4,815 I just checked the available downloads for the Cisco VPN client. Your version doesn't have explicit support for Windows 7. Version 5.0.06.0110 does have stated Windows 7 support. It looks like you'll have to upgrade to the latest version. zx10guy, Nov 7, 2009 #2 zx10guy Trusted Advisor Joined: Mar 30, 2

Reason stating Cisco VPN ciient at moment, there is no version that works on 64bit OS's. If this is a 32bit, Try removing the Client and redownloading the newest versions. I know there is beta for Vista at the moment. reboot, and reinstall. Do you happen to have any other firewall or antivirus software running? 0 Message Author Comment by:BobBullard2007-05-25 This is Vista 32 bit. This is the latest version of the Cisco VPN and is supposed to be Vista compatable. I have Norton 360 installed on the machine but have it turned off. I also have Norton 360 installed on the machine that works OK. 0 LVL 3 Overall: Level 3 Message Expert Comment by:Tingram812007-05-25 Going to take a step back then, Make sure Vista Firewall is disabled and remove Norton.
