with similar issue, I searched for possible solutions online and tried different ways of overcoming the issues, which is often a hit and miss affair. ( This tutorial is becoming even more robust as more and more reported success and provided additional tips to improve the process, and I have enhanced the tutorial, to make it as foolproof as possible for you. Many reported they can now work from home, or use a single machine to access VPN cisco vpn client windows8 440 instead of two machines, or simply made their life much simpler! Thanks to the Gleescape.com community, this tutorial has become a better one.) Most users will face the first error, which says: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the Client. But it's not surprising when you consider that it was written for Vista. 1 Serrano OP cmkleinholz Oct 18, 2013 at 12:54 UTC Yeah, I'm https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/396530-cisco-vpn-client-and-windows-8-0-8-1 not surprised either, but I am leery about rolling it out to any other users unless the "powers that be" are willing to upgrade or we find another solution. 0 Pimiento OP Josh43 Oct 18, 2013 at 12:58 UTC 1st Post I had issues with 8.1, even after updating the wifi driver and reinstall vpn. We initially had trouble with connecting but we tracked the problem to the profile we created and not VPN itself. I haven't updated the Surface to 8.1 yet so I can't say we won't have any problems. 0 Datil OP LegoMan Oct 18, 2013 at 5:08 UTC @NiKopka is right, but there is a workarround.
