Posted on 2008-05-02 Network Operations VPN Networking Hardware-Other 2 Verified Solutions 15 Comments 28,541 Views Last Modified: 2008-08-13 I am trying to connect via Cisco http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f139/cisco-vpn-error-427-a-242493.html VPN client. Tech support at the remote computer end has no idea what the problem is, so for now I'm on my own. When I try to log on, I get the error: "Secure VPN Connection terminated by Peer. Reason 427: Unkown Error occurred at Peer." . I've uninstalled and reinstalled the client, I installed it on a second computer, and in all instances I get the same error. I can connect to other companies using the same VPN client install. https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23372615/Cisco-VPN-Client-error-Secure-VPN-Connection-terminated-by-Peer-Reason-427-Unkown-Error-occurred-at-Peer.html The only thing that I can find about potential problems is to switch the transport setting from IPSEC over to IPSec over TCP. But I would need a Port number. What Port number should I use? Or what can I direct tech-support where to look to determin. It has 10000 by default and that didn't work. I also tried unchecking Enable Transparent Tunneling. Also, for troubleshooting, I enabled logging. However the log does not show any error or information related to this problem. 0 Question by:crxi Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 1 Best Solution bycrxi Someone other than the tech support tried to vpn using my id and pw. I did find on the internet a comment about connecting to Windows server VS a router. I did find a comment that Windows Server connections don't always work well. I'm connecting to a large company so I suspect it is a router. I am using Cisco VPN

(tried bypass TCP/UDP protocol, destination address, source address) I tried to turn off all apps, still failed. do I need to reboot Untangle after changing bypass rule ? what else can I do ? 01-22-2013,11:46 AM #2 bhackbarth Master Untangler Join Date Dec 2010 Location Wisconsin Dells, WI Posts 108 Be sure your Cisco VPN authentication password hasn't expired; if it has it will quickly disconnect your tunnel and throw the 427 error code. If that is the problem, resetting the password should fix the issue. If that's not it let me know and we can try some other things. Bypass rules do not require a reboot to take effect. 01-22-2013,11:09 PM #3 datdamnmachine Master Untangler Join Date Aug 2008 Posts 285 If your unit is in bridge mode, I would bypass Untangle itself and see if your VPN connects. If so, then you will have at least narrowed it down a little. Let us know. If not, then I would get it working without Untangle first. Also, a few questions: - Where are y

Please make sure to set the client as SecureNET, that is the default getway for the this client should be pointing to TMG Server internal ip. Meanwhile, I’d like to know the following: 1.
