When i do a index search with GET, i have an error ERROR Errno::ECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer @ io_fillbuf. These errors were intermittent connection reset and hard to reproduce but this test application tries to do that. When refreshing the root page repeatedly the following error appears in the server log (you might have to hold refresh hotkeys for a few seconds): ERROR Errno::ECONNRESET: Connection reset by peer @ io_fillbuf - fd:16 or ERROR Errno::EPROTOTYPE: Protocol wrong type for socket When shutting down the server the follow error connection reset by is displayed: Internal Server Error Attempt to unlock a mutex which is not locked Removing the requires from application.js seemed to make the Errno errors disappear. rafaelfranca added the asset pipeline label Feb 5, 2015 richardnuno commented Feb 5, 2015 Forgot to mention, ruby version is 2.2.0 and rails version is 4.2.0 sivsushruth commented Feb 9, 2015 @richardnuno I tried to reproduce the bug with ruby 2.1.0 and rails 4.2.0 several times, but in vein. TiuTalk commented Feb 14, 2015 @richardnuno Can you please provide a sample application that reproduces the issue? kamui commented Feb 18, 2015 @TiuTalk The sample app is here: https://github.com/bonobos/asset_mutex_bug I can reproduce the issue on my MacBook Pro running 10.10 with ruby 2.2.0. benjaminsigidi commented Feb 23, 2015 Having the same problem. you. My quick guess is this looks like you have a problem with your sessions and protect_from_forgery is kicking in. I had a similar problem and smashed my head against the wall for a few days, it turned out to be I was assigning an entire object to a session object instead of just the id. A quick note, non-GET requests are the ones that trigger the protect_from_forgery. "Connection reset by peer" usually means that either the software on the remote end of the connection has crashed, or else some stateful firewall between the client and the server is interfering with the TCP connection. In this case, the remote software ought to be the SSH server. And you say that this happens on long deployments. Given these things, I'd suspect that you have a NAT device or other stateful firewall between the client and the server, and it's dropping the TCP connection after some period. You could try setting your client to send keepalive packets. I'm not a Ruby developer, but this page describes a keepalive option. Aside from that, you should talk to your network engineers to see if anything can be done about the device which is interfering with the connection. ruby - rails db:migrate causing Errno::ECONNRESET, Connection reset by...
