Is it Virtual? What operating system? There are a lot of KB articles that I can point you to, just don't have a lot of info to go on here.Try this search to search on that error. 2 Mace OP Texkonc Sep 17, 2014 at 2:15 UTC Need more info 2 Sonora OP benwexler Sep 17, 2014 at 2:33 UTC i was runninga BE 2012 job on a Windows 2003 Server full backup .. with specific folders selected and deselected as desired 0 Serrano OP Elias_VTC (Veritas) Sep 17, 2014 at 2:38 UTC Brand Representative for Veritas Is there an error number listed in the log? One that starts with a "V-..." or "0x..."? This will help narrow down the technote I point you to. 0 Sonora OP benwexler Sep 17, 2014 at 2:47 UTC V-79-57344-33859 0 Serrano OP Elias_VTC (Veritas) Sep 17, 2014 at 2:55 UTC Brand Representative for Veritas Thank you. Take a look at our KBs listed here for that error code. Is this the first time this has happened? A few of the technotes reference restarting your SQL server, if that is something you can do I would recommend it. 0 Sonora OP benwexler Sep 17, 2014 at 3:09 UTC so we had no backup for months because we had issues with our first backup and had to order a new drive. It took awhile to set up the new drive and get permissions for BESA figured out . This was the first backup we did with this setup. When you say "Restart the sql server", we only have one server in general that has files on it. We dont have a dedicated sql server. 0 Serrano OP Elias_VTC (Veritas) Sep 17, 2014 at 3:13 UTC Brand Representative for Veritas Is SQL installed in this server? Is the SQL an item that is selected for backup in your file selection list and/or do you have the SQL agent installed? Ensure also that you have the right permission level for the BackupExec Service. 0 Sonora OP benwexler Sep 17, 2014 at 3:19 UTC i gave the besa full control permission.
