In a specialty field, lots of Google trust, over 2000 visitors per day, and makes me about $60,000 per year (I return about 8.5 cents per visitor) I registered the domain name 11 years ago, and my domain info was out of date. I registered it with an old email address that has long since expired, and I never updated the info. My fault. On Friday July 25, ICAAN tried to verify domain ownership, and the email address bounced, and they suspended my domain. Thus, my site went down for a couple days. I didn't find out about it until the morning of Monday the 28th, when Google Webmaster Tools sent me an email stating "Over the last 24 hours, Googlebot encountered 285 errors while attempting to retrieve DNS information for your site." I immediately fixed it - I updated the domain info, and verified it. My site went back up in less than an hour. I then did as Google Webmaster Tools told me to do - "After you think you've fixed the problem, use Fetch as Google to verify that Googlebot can properly access your site." Google was able to fetch the site. Everything fixed, right? No. My rankings are gone. I used to occupy #1, 2, 3 rankings for my specialty search terms. Now I'm on the 2nd or 3rd page or nowhere at all. So - anyone with any experience with this - will my rankings come back? I know I should be patient, but I'm worried.
