Did you try installing Windows 7 after a low level formatting of the HDD? Perhaps you are using an SSD that's incompatible? Or are you installing on an external USB drive? In the second case, one of the most common problem is bad RAM, so you may want to run memtest86 for a few hours and see if you get any errors there.Another possibility is malware corrupting http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2726745/crc-error-fix.html files. Can't find your answer ? Ask ! Get the answer Best answer InvalidErrorJul 19, 2015, 1:21 AM From Google and other companies HDD failure prediction research, reallocated sector count is one of the most reliable drive failure indicator. In the Google paper I read a few years ago, they said appearance of the first reallocated sector has the strongest correlation with drive failure within the next few two or three months. The way reallocated sectors work is that if the drive is no longer able to read a sector due to physical damage to the recording media, it will remap the sector to its spare table. When this happens, the data in the damaged sector is usually lost - corrupted beyond repair as far as the drive can tell.Start backing up your data elsewhere before any more of it gets corrupted or lost when the drive decides to fail completely. It is setup as a Virtual Machine {VM ware} server. I was instructed to break the raid (raid-0), perform a low-level format of the three Sata drives that were in the raid array, and then recreate the raid, reinstall Windows Server 2003 (R2) and the VM ware images. The instructions given to me to low-level format the drives should format around any bad sectors on the hard drive. I did all of the above, and now we still get the CRC error. So it seems one of the drives needs to be replaced, but I don't really want to have to buy 3 new drives when only one is down. Can anyone recommend a method or applicat

A troubleshoot of fabric Cyclic Redundancy Checksums (CRCs)involves the collection of data, data analysis, and an elimination process in order to isolate the problem component. This document covers the most common types of fabricCRC errors. Fabric CRC Detection Overview Here is a high-level diagram of a Nexus 7018 fabric module with M1 linecards: The previous image gives an overview of the components involved when a packet traverses a fabric module. Stage 1 (S1), Stage 2 (S2), and Stage 3 (S3) are the three stages of the Nexus 7000 fabric, Octopus is the queue engine, Santa Cruz (SC) is the fabric ASIC, and Instance 1 and 2 are the two SC instances on the XBAR. This document considers only one XBAR. Please remember that most of the Nexus 7000 Series switches have three or more XBARs installed. With the assumption that a unidirectional flow from Module 1 (M1) to Module 2 (M2) is present, the ingress Octopus-1 on M1 performs error checks on packets it receives from the south, and the egress Octopus-1 on M2 from the north. If CRC is detected in S3, a problem might have happened in S1 or S2 also, since
