I have had this problem ever since I got the game. I download the game http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-gaming/crc-errors-while-installing-games/53e7221c-8d49-40e7-ac79-1331b9203b13 and install it and during installation it stops multiple times with "CRC errors", so I click retry to continue the installation process, but once I try to play the game I can't even load into the freaking thing, it just freezes. My only other option is to abort the installation, but every time I try it I get the CRC errors. http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/742227-CRC-Errors-while-installing-game-is-UNPLAYABLE-Forums I have downloaded and reinstall about 4 freaking times now and nothing helps. NO OTHER GAME IN MY LIFE has had problems like this, in fact I just got done with an installation spree on Steam and all my games install and play just fine from the same hard drive. IT IS NOT MY COMPUTER THAT IS THE PROBLEM, IT IS *YOU*, UBISOFT! This is absurd, unacceptable and needs to be fixed, you can't provide customers with completely nonfunctional products and expect them to be happy. If it helps, my specs are: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 16 gigs g.skill sniper series 1866 ram 2x CFX Radeon 7850s with latest drivers Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge 3570 This is also a new build with a fresh copy of Win7 Ultimate 64, I know my computer is not the problem, or I'd be having this issue with other programs and games. CRC errors refer to memory issues, either in RAM or hard drive storage/reading/writing, if my hardware was faulty this problem would manifest itself in other areas, not just in Farcry 3. I can

CRC errors happen when there's a bad spot on the media of your hard disk. https://askleo.com/how_do_i_fix_a_cyclic_redundancy_check_error_when_i_try_to_copy_a_file/ Data recovery and disk repair are often possible with the right tools. //
Outlook started acting http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t10642-disk-problem-during-install-solved-new-problem-crc-error up, so as part of my attempts to fix it I tried to copy the PST to another location. The copy failed part way through with a cyclic redundancy check error. How can I get past this and backup my data? The cyclic redundancy check, or "CRC" error, indicates a bad spot on your hard drive. The fact that you're seeing it when you try to crc error copy a file indicates that the bad spot may be within the file itself. We need to verify that and then we need to try to recovery your file and repair your hard drive. First, let's make sure that the problem is actually with the file you're copying since it's equally likely that the problem is with the location you're copying too. This is easy. Fire up a Command Prompt window, and then copy the file to NUL: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright crc error in 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:>CD (to wherever the file is located) C:wherever>copy Outlook.pst NUL 1 file(s) copied. This reads the entire file by copying it "nowhere". If this succeeds, the problem is not actually with the file itself, but the location you were trying to copy it to. My recommendation would be to copy it to a different disk entirely, or a different machine on your local network. If this copy fails, then we've confirmed that the bad sector on your hard disk is actually being used by some portion of your file. • Now that we've confirmed that the problem is in fact in the file itself, we need to make as best a copy of it as we can, somewhere else. This sets a position of "it can't get any worse than this". Some data within the file may be lost, but you'll have copied as much as possible before the recovery efforts. Once again, we want to copy the file to some different hard disk, or some other machine on your local network. And once again we need to do this within the command prompt: Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:>CD (to wherever the file is located) C:wherever>xcopy /c Outlook.pst D: 1 file(s) copied. Two important things to note here: we've used the xcopy (for eXtended copy) command, and we've added the "/C" switch which keeps copying even if errors are encountered. But I want to play the Sims so badly, and while I didn't find the solution to my problem on the forum (and the internet), the people here seem really nice and helpfull. I've already send a dutch e-mail explaining my problem, but it's been 24 hours with no reply, wich isn't so bad but I thought; this way it might help other people with the same problem as well, if there are any (that and I'm itching to play! hope that's no problem). My problem is as follows:I can't install any of the expansion packs, because during the installation a screen pops up saying I need to insert the floppy disk with file 83193080 (in case of seasons). I've also tried installing World adventures and Generations, but the same thing happens but with different numbers. Here's a screenshot: (am I supposed to make a spoiler tag for this? I don't know how)I have installed The Sims 3 razor1911 maxspeed, and I have downloaded all the expansions and stuffpacks from games4theworld. The base game is not cracked yet, and so are the expansions I've tried installing. I have also applied the manual patch from this site, and am planning to use the ultimate fix.EDITAfter a lot of searching appearantly there were some people with the same problem (but I really did a thorough search for hours and hours divided over multiple days! ). So I followed the admin's advi
