try again later. Published on Mar 8, 2013It is the common issue with 'RAR extraction' that the compressed file does not unpack correctly when there is something wrong in the archived file. Most cases, the WinRAR comes with a couple or few couple of error warnings and NOT extracting the files. In this video I used a method which tell the WinRAR to just ignore central and local directory mismatch for file winzip any errors and extract the files even though they are bad or corrupted. Many cases this method succeeds but not always .........so try this method too before jumping for a re-download of the file.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // Description of Video \\--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I downloaded 4 parts of 'SANS560v0212.rar' from internet. They are:-SANS560v0212.part1.rarSANS560v0212.part2.rarSANS560v0212.part3.rarSANS560v0212.part3.rarIn normal process of extraction, due to CRC fail, the file 'SANS560v0212.rar' was not extracted combining the above four parts.I repeated extraction using this trick. Success...Now trying to get the file 'SANS560v0212.iso', which is inside the earlier extracted file SANS560v0212.rar.Unfortunately, it is password protected....Getting the password...Trying to extract normally with the password...but fails due to CRC error, again. So, repeated the trick in this case too....success.Got the file SANS560v0212.iso. Published on Sep 11, 2013http://www.winrarrepair.net/file-crc-... - Hello Everyone,This video will show you simple 4-step procedure to extract data from inaccessible RAR file, after encountering CRC errors; which may occur due to bad sectors in the storage disk, virus infection during download or transmission errors. As some people recommend, you may try the Repair tool provided in Winrar under Tools section. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0jaW8mR3hw However, I didn't find this tool efficient enough to repair the CRC error affected archives. It didn't gave any errors when I tried, but my RAR file was in the same state of corruption. So, what I suggest is, you must try any third-party repair utilities available on the internet.Subscribe my channel to view more about repair process of different types of files. To get the software, visit the site, I have mentioned its link above.Hope I helped you in some way. Good Bye. check) error on one of the files it contained, and I could not access this file at all. Cause Glitches that occur while downloading or copying files can damage them. Computer gremlins, cosmic http://www.craig.copperleife.com/tech/crc_error.htm rays, Mercury in retrograde... who needs a reason? Stuff happens to perfectly good files sitting on hard drives or optical disks minding their own business, let alone those ricocheting through cyberspace. Thankfully, most of these tiny mutations aren't critical, perhaps affecting the hue of a single pixel in some obscure help screen buried where you'll never notice it. This means you can either ignore the errors (if only you can access the corrupted file), or you can try to crc error repair them. Solutions Re-download the archive If your ZIP or EXE archive arrived via the internet, is still available, and you have the bandwidth and patience, re-download it. If you're lucky it might come through without errors the second time. But the bigger the file and the less reputable its source, the more likely it will contain another error--or the same error again. WinZip fudge This is my 'guaranteed-or-your-money-back' method that works for all ZIP files and WinZip self-extracting crc error in EXEs: Because later versions of WinZip have changed, the first step is to download an older version and install it, choosing the classic interface rather than the 'wizard'. I can vouch for WinZip version 8.1. Other early versions will probably work too. If you have a later version of WinZip installed, you might need to temporarily uninstall it before installing the older version. The idea is to play a trick on WinZip to get hold of the corrupted file through the back door before WinZip kills it off. If you have a straight ZIP file, open it through WinZip. If your archive is a self-extracting WinZip EXE file, open it via the WinZip interface using the Open command and choosing Files of type: / Archives and exe files. If the archive contains multiple files, determine which one is corrupted by either extracting them individually until you find the bad one, or by extracting them all and viewing the error log when you are invited to do so. Now that you know which file is bad, attempt to extract this file again into any folder by dragging the bad file from within the WinZip window into an explorer window. Behind the scenes, WinZip will be forced to use its temporary folder as an intermediate step that assists our cause. So this time when WinZip halts and presents you with a 'bad CRC' error message (see pi
