Dvd Shrink Crc Error Protection

A dirty disc, 2. A scratched disc 3. A poor quality disc (cheap media if it happens during the "Burn" section of your work) 4. A bad disc from the Mfgr. It can also be from a bad optical component in your drive. At this time I don't believe it's your drive at all. If you recently purchased this disc new from a store, I would return it as defective if just cleaning and the proper use of DVD Decrypter doesn't get the job done. I'd like you to check your DVD Decrypter's settings. First, it should be version 3.5.1.0. Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO Read Mode", "tick" "Remove PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key

of DVD Shrink has been stopped in 2005 it cannot circumvent current copy protections schemes which dvd cloner may manifest in these errors/error messages: Movie playback starts in between or at the end and/or chapters do not playback in order Invalid File dvd shrink error cyclic redundancy check Structure Invalid Navigation Structure Out of memory Programming error - Exception occurred Parameter Incorrect Data Redundancy Check Error (CRC Error) The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error To remove such protections do a complete backup http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/dvd-shrink-data-error-cyclic-redundancy-check.321265/ of such media to your HDD with (use Google): DVDFab HD Decrypter (free trial) AnyDVD (free trial) and then use Shrink to encode it as usual. Problems with Nero First of all DVD Shrink is a transcoder to shrink movie DVDs, using the Nero engine for automatic burning is just a bonus. Having said that, DVD Shrink works under Vista but Nero only from version 7.x and higher. If you insist on using bloatware but can't get it to http://www.dvdshrink.org/support.php work, uninstall both Shrink and Nero and reinstall (not just copy over exes!) Nero before DVD Shrink. After that make sure that Edit > Preferences > File I/O > Enable burning with Nero is checked. If that still doesn't work as well as nothing on this list use free Imgburn which is an advancement of the DVD Decrypter burning engine and uses the same command set. Therefore if want to keep automatic burning and have DVD Decrypter installed on your machine you can copy over 'ImgBurn.exe' and rename it to 'DVDDecrypter.exe' so Shrink uses it with 'ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter' selected as your backup target. Alternatively use the hacked DVD Shrink with ImgBurn. Of course you can also simply output to ISOs and manually add them to ImgBurn's queue. In case your HDD is still formatted with FAT32 instead of NTFS, DVD Shrink will bypass the 4 GB filesize limit automatically by outputting to multipart ISO (.i00, .i01, .i02, .mds) which mds can be burned with ImgBurn. Batch encoding/autoplay/command line Aparently DVD Shrink does not support command line parameters except for opening a DVD so if you wanna use it in your media center without a keyboard use autoplay, cmdDVDShrink or DVD Rip. In case you wanna encode several DVDs in a row unattended use MultiShrink. Problems running DVD Shrink on Vista/Win 7 DVD Shrink apparently works on Vista/Win 7, however some peo

I am allowed to make a backup copy for personal use aren't I??? The kids favourite DVD at the moment is "Babe", but they are literally loving it to crc error death. 3 year olds love to do stuff by themselves (including load the DVD player), but they have no idea how to treat a DVD properly. I tried to back it up with DVDShrink but the program halts mid-backup with a CRC error, and won't complete the job - probly because of a fingerprint or scratch. However the DVD plays fine all the way through shrink crc error when watching it. How can I back it up? __________________ Hopeless, helpless and mostly harmless Last edited by wot?; 13th April 2009 at 9:52 AM. Reason: [solved] wot? View Public Profile Find More Posts by wot? NOTE: deep gouges on the dvd wont be fixed by above. only dirt and finger prints. __________________ Originally Posted by Randy_Chuggs - I just get down on all fours and suck it out Originally Posted by Subcommandante - Who are DVDA? The reason i back up is i buy my young kids dvds regularly and as you can understand the discs get scratched and gewt sticky fingerprints on them therefore what i do is give them a backup copy and keep the origonal disc safe. Anyway my problem is ive beeen getting errors recently sometimes the burn fails and sometimes i get the error message "cyclic Redundancy error" its only started happening recently and im at a loss as to what the problem is . Does anyone know ? or failing that is there another free program thats as straightforward as dvd shrink? and as reliable as it used to be? could the problem be down to new copy protection tecniques? I really need to solve this as ive just bought three new dvds for my daughter and i dont want them ruined , Thanks in advance for any help Asrock 4coreDual-vsta Core2 duo 4300(1.8ghz)-@ 2.4ghz 2 GB DDR2 Ram 8600GT Win 7 Reply Reply With Quote September 26th, 2005,09:06 AM #2 XKILLR View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries Visit Homepage Member Join Date Sep 2004 Posts 180 There is nothing wrong with your software and there is nothin you can do about it. DVD's are now being slowely equiped with a new protection called rip guard. I used various programs, such as: dvd shrink, dvd decrypter, dvd x copy, to get around it but none work at the time. THe only way to "backup" those dvd's is to rip the video from the disc and then burn the file to a disc. There is a quality loss but is the onlt way for those dvd's at the moment. And that doesnt even work all the time Athlon 64 3200+ s754 OC 2.2GHz/ 1.5 GB PC3200 Ram / BFG 6800 Ultra / Liquid Cooling / 3 LED 80mm case fans / One woop Ass Machine Reply Reply With Quote September 26th, 2005,09:33 AM #3 phenious View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries Visit Homepage Moderator Join Date Oct 2001 Location Winter Park FL Posts 5,334 Try opening the DVD in your software DVD player, get to the middle of the movie and pause.
