Pro Tools 8 Dae Error 9126
Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: United States Posts: 1 SOLVED: Pro Tools DAE Error 9126 Not sure what causes it, but if you have dae error 9124 issues importing or opening a session and see the DAE 9126 Error while on a MAC (Snow Leopard) using a Partitioned Firewire Drive simply move The entire folder to a different partitions (drive letter) and try again. This was pro tools bounce to disk error in Pro Tools 8.0.4 Don't know for sure but I think it loses the file pointers (perhaps by partitioning a drive that already has session on it) and moving the folder allows it to re-establish them. No reason I can think of this wouldn't apply to other versions of Pro Tools or Operating Systems as I think its more a Hard Drive issue than a ProTools problem. thecircleh View Public Profile Find all posts by thecircleh « Previous Thread

Getting 9126 Error in Pro Tools 8.0.4 Discussion in 'Pro Tools' started by strings1, Dec could not save because while translating tracks 8, 2011. strings1 Active Member Joined: Dec 10, 2010 Location: Far Northern California I recently purchased a Glyph external hard drive to dedicate as the recording hard drive. I had previously used the internal and then a Western Digital external hard drive. When I attempt to open files on the WD I get incomplete files-missing blank tracks. Then the screen to http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=305037 find files comes up with DAE error 9126. I can find the files, but when I try to link them I again get Error 9126. I have done both Disc allocation and Workspace dedications for each drive separately and combinations there of and then all of them. Nothing changes. Any Ideas here??? strings1, Dec 8, 2011 #1 TheJackAttack Moderator Resource Member http://recording.org/threads/getting-9126-error-in-pro-tools-8-0-4.51518/ Joined: Mar 20, 2008 Location: currently Billings How is everything connected? USB? Daisychained firewire? TheJackAttack, Dec 8, 2011 #2 strings1 Active Member Joined: Dec 10, 2010 Location: Far Northern California Thanks for the response Jack:smile:. The Glyph is connected via fire wire 800. The WD is USB. Both connected to the iMac separately. strings1, Dec 9, 2011 #3 TheJackAttack Moderator Resource Member Joined: Mar 20, 2008 Location: currently Billings If you disconnect the Glyph can you access the WD through PT? If so you will need to figure out PT/002 predelection for daisy chain. Sometimes it might be computer the Glyph then 002. Sometimes it might be computer then 002 then Glyph. TheJackAttack, Dec 9, 2011 #4 strings1 Active Member Joined: Dec 10, 2010 Location: Far Northern California So I can access the WD with a no problem. I have the glyph connected to the back of the iMac via fire wire, the WD to the back of the iMac via USB. strings1, Dec 9, 2011 #5 TheJackAttack Moderator Resource Member Joined: Mar 20, 2008 Location: currently
