I've already verified that I can connect to the database I'm using with the login I've created otherwise. I am at the mercy of my hosting company as to what modules are installed. Any ideas on what could be causing the error? Edit: db_type is set to "mysqli". When I use "mysql" as the type I get a "connection failed" error instead. php mysql pear share|improve this question edited Mar 20 '09 at 21:43 Ross 24.7k3097150 asked Mar 20 '09 at 21:13 Heather Kordinak 2,10421

I can run a radtest, have tested Apache and MySQL OK. mysql -u root -p works ok and I enter the password "C0ns3rv" which is good. I installed the Pear packages and then went for Daloradius, and used the SQL script to create the radius database. I could connect to that database, show the tables and see the "administrator" in the 'operators' table. I then modified the /var/www/daloradius/library/daloradius.conf.php file. $configValues = '0.9-8'; $configValues = '2'; $configValues = 'mysql'; $configValues = '192.168.66.139'; $configValues = 'root'; $configValues = 'C0ns3rv'; $configValues = 'radius'; When I fire up http://192.168.66.139/daloradius I get the Daloradius login page and attempt tp log in. However, I then see the following error Database connection error Error Message: DB Error: extension not found Debug: ** mysql://root:C0ns3rv@192.168.66.139/radius Been looking at it for a couple of hours and trawling the net. Probably a simply config error somewhere but I can't find it. Sorry if being stupid, but it's driving me nuts. Anyone got any ideas? If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link: MattWarren - 2009-10-10 It sounds like you need to load php-mysql and check your php.ini file. Also, if the mysql DB in on the same machine as your Dalo i would change $configValues = '192.168.66.139'; to $configValues = 'localhost'; I am guessing that this
