They do not want http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=694355 to update since they will be moving to a different system in the coming months. They are currently receiving the following error message"Description: Invoice. Database error (operation=INSERT, error=2)" when they try and ADD a new invoice. Everything else seems to finction fine, except when they add new invoices.I have restarted the Linux server and toggled the pervaisive services, with no effect. The noticed that it began to occur after filing a large invoice, and received a different error message (they http://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sage300_erp/f/141/t/53230 do not remember what this error message was). Once the first error messgae was receoved, they attempted to delete the troublsome invoice, and begin again. However, the invoice did not delete completely, and seems to have $ amount assigned to it, without any items appearing in the invoice.Since this, they have not been able to save any new invoices, and receive the "Invoice. Database error" message.Any suggestions at all would be great. Thanks,Russ russhens 6 Oct 2011 12:30 PM Cancel 5 Replies Jay Converse Arxis 6 Oct 2011 12:40 PM You have a corrupt database table, I hope you have good backups. You may have good results using the Pervasive Rebuild utility on all ARIxxx tables. Heck, just do all AR tables, it can't hurt. Cancel russhens 6 Oct 2011 1:01 PM Would the Pervasive Rebuild utility have to be run from server side? Where would i find the command line parameters for this? Thanks,Russ Cancel Jay Converse Arxis 6 Oct 2011 1:04 PM No, from a workstation. Accpac 5.6 on SQL Server 2008 R2.Everyone has a fat client install.I am thinking this is a result of a bad switch or some other hardware related issue but was curious if anyone found another cause for this error. Cancel Jay Converse Arxis 30 Jun 2011 8:07 PM Exactly when do you get it? What process? What screen? Is it reproduceable? Cancel Ariel Sas 30 Jun 2011 8:30 PM In our case it seems to happen when either an AR Invoice Batch is left open or the batch list is left open for a long period of time although the users who report this error only work in AR.I have not been able to re-create it at will and have not been able to pinpoint any exact cause. There on SQL 2008 Accpac 5.5A SP2 Windows Xp SP 2 Database error (operation=TRANS-BEGIN, error=3997) Solution This may be a result of the Collation Method mismatch between the Company and System database: Make sure both are using the same collation method. SQL 2008: In the case that: The database server is using MS-SQL 2008. The workstations don't have the SQL 2008 Server. The MS-SQL 2005 Server driver has to be used instead: 1. We were able to get everything running again after this note helped jog our memories. Thanks!
