Posts 13,478 SpywareBlaster V3.0 Database Error I've just installed SpywareBlaster V3.0. When I run spywareblaster.exe, in "Protection->Status" it says: ! Database Error The SpywareBlaster database may be corrupted or missing. Click on the link below to run Check for Updates and download the latest database. I did as instructed and the update completed, but the warning remains. I've posted this at the Wilders Security helpsite also. I'll report back on what they come up with. This is my 2nd attempt to install and successfully use SpywareBlaster. The 1st attempt also installed successfully but wouldn't work. I made a backup of the C: drive before installing this, so I can go back to the way my software was before the installation if necessary. Reply With Quote 04-06-2004,12:03 PM #2

I still think it may have database error to do with the Microsoft Visual C++ or perhaps the .NET Frameworks.Click to expand... So. . . does that mean I should try deleting all of those and re-downloading/installing them? DKTaber, Oct 31, 2013 #61 Cookiegal Administrator Malware Specialist Coordinator Joined: Aug 27, 2003 Messages: 105,197 I would start by installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and see database error spywareblaster if that makes any difference. Did that. Made no difference, except the error code on update attempts is now "U001". Even (again) tried it with AVG and the firewall disabled, and (again) in Safe Mode with Networking. As usual, it loads a few updates, but when it gets to "sbdatabaseinf.dtb", it bulks. I already did; added it to a thread started by someone else having the same problem. You can access the thread at http
