This can be because: The ACT! database that the WinFax PRO phonebook accesses no longer exists. The database has been moved. The database is stored on a network drive, and the drive is not currently available. To resolve this issue, you can remove and restore the phonebooks that generate the error so that WinFax knows the current location of the database. Or, you can restore the database or network drive path so that WinFax can find the database where it expects to. To remove and restore ACT! phonebooks in WinFax: Exit ACT!. Launch WinFax PRO's Message Manager. On the Go menu, click Phonebooks. Click the ACT! phonebook that is generating the message. You may receive the message again; close the dialog box. On the Edit menu, click Delete. Click OK to confirm the deletion. Exit WinFax. Launch ACT!, opening the database that you just removed from the WinFax phonebooks view. On the Edit menu, click Preferences. Click the WinFax Options tab. Select the Use the currently open ACT! database as a WinFax phonebook check box. Click Apply, and then OK to save the setting. Repeat Steps 1 through 11 for any other ACT! phonebooks that are also generating the message. Note: These instructions are for WinFax PRO 10.0, earlier versions may require slightly different steps.
