failure - Errors 9027 and 9028 Windows Server > File Services error: 9014 (database failure) and Storage Question 0 Sign in to vote I started a thread in the Windows error: 9214 (internal database error (-1086)) General forum but I'm not getting much traction so I thought I'd try here. This is the last post I submitted: This evening, I ran the

dfsrdiag utility. The command I ran was: dfsrdiag proptest /RGName:"mydomain.com\my files\test" /RFName:test /TestFilename:TestFile02.xml /V /Mem:file02.mydomain.com I ran this command from both File01 and File 02 and on both machines, I ran it with the Mem parameter set to File01 and File 02. All 4 iterations of the command reported success and

the xml file was created on both machines. An example of the command outpu (ran on File02 targeting File01): Name:test /TestFilename:TestFile02.xml /V /Mem:file01.mydomain.com [INFO] Computer Name: file01 [INFO] Computer DNS: file01.mydomain.com [INFO] Domain DNS: mydomain.com [INFO] Site Name: MySite [INFO] Connected to WMI services on computer: file01.mydomain.com [INFO] Issuing query: SELECT * FROM DfsrReplicationGroupConfig WHERE Replication GroupName="mydomain.com\\my files\\test" [INFO] Found DfsrReplicationGroupConfig object, guid: A57A94DD-48AE-4132-A577-61 7938B43DB9 [INFO] Issuing query: SELECT * FROM DfsrReplicatedFolderConfig WHERE Replication GroupGuid="A57A94DD-48AE-4132-A577-617938B43DB9" AND ReplicatedFolderName="test" [INFO] Found DfsrReplicatedFolderConfig object, guid: 2529A9CE-52E1-4D0D-8FCB-1B 1F5E68B85B [INFO] RootPath: E:\Test-dfs [INFO] Execution Time: 0 seconds Operation Succeeded But, replication still does not work. I copied a bunch of files into one of the replicated shares on one machine and they do not appear on the other. Join Now For the past few days our DFS-R has not been working properly. It works on and off but ultimately fails. We are using it to keep around 1.08TB of data (in various files and folders) synchronised between our office here in London and our office in Chicago. We have tried stopping and starting the DFS-R service, rebuilding the DFS-R https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/465376-dfs-r-not-working-any-alternatives group etc. We thought it might have been connection issues as we have recently changed the Chicago office's router but swapping back to our old working kit did not solve the problem. This is the most constant error from the DFS-R log: [Error:9027(0x2343) DownstreamTransport::EstablishConnection downstreamtransport.cpp:3853 2956 C A failure was reported by the remote partner] Both servers are running Server 2008 R2. microsoft.public.technet 1 20th August 19:39 nicky_mcc External User Posts: 1 DFSR replication failing - debug log error content set not ready We've got a http://www.mombu.com/microsoft/windows-server-dfs-and-frs/t-dfsr-replication-failing-debug-log-error-content-set-not-ready-389044.html nasty error with our DFS configuration - any help gratefully received. Quicker https://groups.google.com/d/msg/microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs/pyshpTDtiUo/0eTtZYn0BowJ the better as this is all meant to go live next week! The error first arose in a fairly complex setup (custom permissions etc) but we've now set up a really simple test structure for troubleshooting and we're still seeing the same thing. 2 windows 2003 R2 servers 1 DC (enterprise) 1 database error member server (standard) On each server - create a folder C:\DFSTEST2 share as DFSTEST2FOLDER share permissions:admin full control, everyone read NTFS permissions: admin & system full control, users read/write Created a new domain based namespace also called DFSTEST2 - added both the DC and the member server as namespace servers. Set share permissions to be admin full control and users read only. Created a multipurpose internal database error replication group DFSTEST2_repl, full mesh using a 1Mb connection, with just the two servers as members replicating that one folder. Everything creates fine and looks happy, but if you place a file in the folder on the member server, nothing happens. Diagnostic report seems to suggest that the DC is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder DFSTEST2, but it's a tiny network with only 2 DCs in the same site so it shouldn't take that long. The debug logs on receiving server (DC) show multiple errors that the "content set is not ready": 20060623 21:30:41.078 4032 SRTR 400 [WARN] SERVER_EstablishSession Failed on connId:{3A5730C9-628D-4710-B839-A1B81F279C7C} csId:{DD843361-3A43-4837-93D1-16A09D14D7F7} Error: + [Error:9051(0x235b) UpstreamTransport::EstablishSession upstreamtransport.cpp:703 4032 C107 The content set is not ready] + [Error:9051(0x235b) OutConnection::EstablishSession outconnection.cpp:1889 4032 C106 The content set is not ready] 20060623 21:31:18.171 4032 SRTR 400 [WARN] SERVER_EstablishSession Failed on connId:{6DBC71E5-A817-41F8-9154-B21484F1908E} csId:{A38A48B8-00E2-4DF8-8309-6E09DE5431F0} Error: + [Error:9051(0x235b) UpstreamTransport::EstablishSession upstreamtransport.cpp:703 4032 C110 The content set is not ready] + [Error:9051(0x235b) OutConnection::EstablishSession outconnection.cpp:1889 4032 C109 The content set is not ready] The sending member shows a corresponding error in the debug logs: 21:30:41.061 2408 INCO 2588 InConnection::RestartSession Retrying establish contentset session. connId:{3A5730C9-628D-4710-B839-A1B81F279C7C} csId:{DD843361-3A43-4837-93D1-16A09D14D7F7} csNameFSTEST2 20060623 21:30:41.061 240
