By default, the deferPrepares Custom Property of the DB2 data source is set to true which, in this case, causes the error. Resolving the problem Use the explicit data type conversion for input parameters, as the generated code is using it. This can be accomplished by setting the Custom Property deferPrepares on the data source to false. To change this property on the data source, use the administrative console for the version 6 WebSphere Test Environment or a stand-alone WebSphere Application Server. For the version 5.x WebSphere

It seems to compile and enhance just fine. There is a one to many relationship. The "one" inserts just fine. A single "many" insert works. Multiple "many" inserts via-HashSet fails. There are "projects" https://community.oracle.com/thread/766362 which are the "one" There are "many" milestones for each project (that's the foreign key relation) I'm using db2 V8.1 Fixpak 2 with the db2jcc.jar driver Kodo JDO 2.5.2 Might I have missed something? Manually running the SQL by hand works fine. Just the JDO implementation that I made doesn't work. Seems really close to the "CompanyDemo" that ships as a sample, but mine obviously is broken. -- DB2 -301 SQLcode explanation SQL0301N The value of input host variable or parameter number "

Here's a definition of the -302 from the z/OS Information Center: THE VALUE db2 sql error OF INPUT VARIABLE OR PARAMETER NUMBER position-number IS INVALID OR TOO LARGE FOR THE TARGET COLUMN OR THE TARGET VALUE On Linux/Unix/Windows DB2, you'll look under SQL Messages to find your error message. If the code is positive, you'll look for SQLxxxxW, if it's negative, you'll look for SQLxxxxN, where xxxx is the code you're looking up. share|improve this answer edited Aug 13 '13 at 12:49 answered Mar 8 '12 at 23:08 bhamby 10.8k1647 1 Thank you so much. For DB2 version 10, explanation is here : publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/dzichelp/v2r2/topic/… –Ravindra Gullapalli Aug 9 '12 at 7:25 If you look at the message that should come with the error, THE VALUE OF INPUT VARIABLE OR PARAMETER NUMBER position-number IS INVALID OR TOO LARGE FOR THE TARGET COLUMN OR THE TARGET VALUE, position-number should give you the number of the column that is causing your troubles. –bhamby Aug 9 '12 at 14:33 add a comment| up vote 5 down vote To get the definition of the SQL codes, the easiest way is to use db2 cli! at the unix or
