I am receiveing the following error message while executing a 'CREATE DATABASE xy' command with DB2 V9.x (tried V9.1,V9.5,V9.5SP4a,V9.7) on Windows Server 2008: SQL0901N The SQL statement failed because of a non-severe system error. This is the accepted answer. These are internal errors and you shouldn't be seeing them, so something odd is happening. I'd recommend contacting IBM support so that the right diagnostics can be gathered and this problem fully investigated. Also check what entries appear in db2diag.log, if necessary temporarily increasing DIAGLEVEL to 4. Also check db2level for your Express-C (if that is what you mean by cexpress) and ensure it is the latest available build.
